Default best truggy engine

Hello all, first post here. Used to have a rc10gt back in the day and now I want to get back into it with the 1/8 scale truggy's. Looking for a decent engine. Price is not really a factor. Should i go with a .21 or .28?? Any recommendations and helpful hints are much appreciated. Will be racing casually. Want a nice engine. Thanks in advacne.

I have ran an os .25 for a few races and it is a very nice engine. If you have a good smooth throttle finger it is possible to pit at 10 mins too, I usually pit at 8 just to be ont he safe side but the OS 25 is a nice inbetween the 21 and 28's. Price isnt too bad either. But my all time fav in the truggy is the OS speed, lots of power, great runtime and perfect balance. the Nova P5 runs great in a truggy too.

Stick with a .21. More than enough power and much better fuel economy.

OS SPEED/2060 pipe. You get what you pay for.

honestly as long as you get a 21 that is not USED.....you should be golden....pretty much all the name brand motors are gonna run great for 1 guy and crappy for the other!...so just put a bunch of motor ads on a wall and throw a dart!...then run it

Novarossi Toro Nero. Choose whichever Nova header/pipe combo you want, i.e. low end, top end, etc. The Toro is a monster though! Stick with .21 engines.

Jammin JPX .21 w/Ofna 086 pipe, great bottom to top, tunes easy (and forgiving), and never flames out unless something is wrong. I've been running the JPX .28 in my truggy but it is a handfull

That's my vote

I love my Clockwork Werks B5, LOVE IT! I get longer runtimes than anyone I race with, and the power is unheard of for an engine this smooth.

So how long will it take for every engine to me recommended? I'm betting within 24-30 hours of the 1st post. There's not many missing now. Anyone? What's the over under??

Alpha S852. Runs with the best. 10 min run times. Half the price. Ive got almost 4 gallons on mine. Still runs like new........ Im still workin on Frank, hes got O.S. stuck in his head. Although I have to admit the .25 does rip. Frank you racin R/C pro this weekend or you waitin for Norcal.......

Taking the fam to see mickeymouse this weekend so no RC for me. But I will be at riverfornt for the norcal series. I think I am going to Rescue tomorrow for a little practice and finish breaking in these new engines prob 10-1 or so.
