[QUOTE=kgombe;10476945]fail safes only works if you have a radio problem and low battery.. bands only work when you loose power... if your servo itself decides to go wide open it could be just the board on that servo which neither fail safe and rubber bands will help you...

stuff happens... no one got seriously injured.. thats most important... brush it off and go race.

If that's the case it had to be the servo going bad. I've had that servo for about 5 years so I'd say its time for a new one. Thanks for the info! I'll definitely be racing again.

I thought it was the on & off switch going out but when I got it home I found that the antenna wire was broke off at the top. It's a futuba receiver. Idk what it is for sure. Could be servo too.

Rubber bands are good but get rid of the mechanical switch, use a ko electrical switch or plug it in directly. Servos junk out there's no way around that. I had a Rx pop at the DNC and the rubber band kept it at slightly above idle and shut down was was a simple task. Personally I have had the best luck with KO or hitec. All my cars have KO RSX servos now but all servos junk out at some point. Sorry to hear about your bad luck it sucks to go to a big race and have bs happen.

Buggy Mod P5

I ran the P5 Buggy Mod again today, i am close to a full gallon on it now and still has a little pinch left but its pushing 13min. 30 sec. on a big outdoors loamy track. I am also running the wrong plug untill sun Neal ;) (no more katchup).

After Sun. i should be around 1 1/2 gallons and the pinch should be completely gone. By the end of the day on Sun. i will get a good timed run to see what the mpg's on this beast is. Thanks Neal for going outside the box and building a buggy Bad A$$. :D

Yep...Putting a OD97 in one of my engines is like putting Ketchup on Fillet Mignon.........LOL :D tho there is nothing wrong with ketchup, but it definitely does not belong anywhere near fillet Mignon ! the 97T is scorching hot compared to a Werks 6, you should be able to lean that engine down a fair bit once you go to a Werks 6.....

I ask our rep that every week,

He keeps saying 'March' lol 2 more weeks and I'm throwing rocks at him :sneaky:

I have them on Backorder so I will have them off the first shipment and then Neal can begin his r&d.

I'll have Neal call you on the speaker phone when it is on the break-in stand.

+1 agreed. That's a sight I'd like to see.

Got to run my clicked bonito today in my mbx5t and its a monster, pulled that truggy with ease and was faster top and bottom than my JL red dot picco .28 and I'm using a jp3 pipe.

I'm sure with a 086 its gonna be even faster and no high revvs before settling down to idle, seems like it has a air leak for a minute then calms down to a proper idle,is that normal? Maybe just the pipe?

I used neals clutch break in tech and it worked like a charm, grabs nice and smooth.

As soon as I can get some video I'll post a link.

Thanks again neal and john,I'm one happy dude.
