Sorry john, It was just a warm up/practice race for the upcoming Byrons 3 day race event at the end of this month. No pics, trophies, or plaques. Just good practice on the new layout and lots of pats on the back. in the pro class fellow team terribles member Billy Fischer smoked the field by almost 2 laps.

Okay guys, did some track testing yesterday with my new Clocked B5. All I can say is Holy crap...this thing really rips!! I swear that I've never driven anything this fast period!!! It's still way rich, and I've just begun to lean out the HSN a little, so I know there's a bunch more power to be had. I ran it with only 8 screws on the M2C flywheel, and I'm going to put them all on to tame out the bottom end a bit more. It still had a little wheel spin, but grabbed really well and was there when I gassed it...you were right Neal, that clutch really likes this engine and vice-versa!! I can't express just how happy I am with this engine, and as you might expect I'm still cheezing sitting here typing this Next step... big race in 2 weekends and I can't wait to get the Clockwork message out!! Frankie...get your new OS Speed ready buddy...we got some racing to do.

Sounds like you had a great practice day. I can't wait to see it in action. The speeds will be ready almost ready to race tune

Neal, I didn't really check the runtime as I was not even close to a "race tune" yet. I'll do that during practice on Friday before the race, but given the fuel left in my tank I'd estimate 10 minutes easy. Given that you've already hand-lapped the engine is there still a noticable "nut-drop" once it's been run awhile? Just curious what to look for.

yes it will drop its its nuts still...it just wont be as dramatic as a non fitted engine......Basically take the glowplug out and check to see how much pinch it has....till the pinch is nearly gone the engine will not be at peak performance...

Al the mechanical pinch is gone and your engine will run rich and needs to be re-tuned, also a dramatic drop in temperatures. When an engine "drops its nuts" means it has completely passed the break in stage and everything is working the way it is intended to and making maximum HP and maximum performance

When you slip and loose them. It hurts pretty bad and usually theres quite a recovery period.

Hi Neil!
I'm in the market for a new engine for my 8T 2.0 and looking for any recommendations! I'm interested in a motor with practical/usable power band. I'm interested in the your mod b5..would you recommend?

Also, I know of the advantages of having a mod engine but no one ever discusses its drawbacks. What are they?

Last one... if I do go get one of your mods, how long would the motor last before a rebuild? Can I use the stock parts for the rebuild or would I have to come back to you to for the rebuild?

Thanks for your time!
