Hoi,
we run our clocked Ninja Jx21-B01A with the Hong Nor 2047 pipe for over 10 litres now and it still works fantastic . Runtimes of 11-12minutes and plenty of power. Since I run this motor my results are very much better. During the first two races I took the third and second place this year. My best results in my three years of racing. Thank you Neal and John for this great engine |
Neal,
Looks like I am going to get a practice day tomorrow and I will let you know how the motor is doing:) :tire::tire::tire::tire: |

Hi there guys I thought that I should share this picture with the guys wanting to see what a 0.5mm idle gap looks like against a paper clip, tooth pick, I was at my father in laws clock maker machine shop today and he had this blue steel rods in every size from 0.1mm to 10.0mm so I thought it would be a good idea to make a 0.5mm, 0.6mm & 0.7mm idle gap stick to make it really easy to set a larger gap for break in then set a correct gap for a race tune.

We run 25% Power Save Racing Fuel and O.S. P3 plugs.
Next race will be in three weeks. :) |

Awesome Idea Sam..
I gotta rave on the JL. This engine never ceases to amaze me.. I just hope I can one day get it on a track that I can allow it to stretch it's legs.. I had to do a plug change before the Main.. Didn't have an Ofna, so I put in an O'Donnell 77T. Leaned the top 3 hours, and she was pretty close. But end needed leaned about 2-3 itself. It still ran flawlessly until I ran it out of gas.. I noticed it was getting that outa fuel peppiness to it, but ignored it. Well it bit me in the rear.. Was able to refuel, lean the bottom a touch, and still finished 2nd.. We temped at the end of the 20minute Main and it was 203* with an Exergen temp gun.. If I lean it to it's true potential I honestly can't drive it.. IMO that's a good thing to have.. Awesome engine and very economical. |
Maximo,Have you moded a orion discovery yet and if so what did you think about it?

Well the clocked werks b5 and 2013 have hit the 3 litre mark and engine is a power house, best described as a CLOCKED WEAPON.
I had one of the guys shoot some footage today at the track were i got more fuel through the motor, the wind was blowing a gale and the cars were floating of the jumps. http://youtu.be/fAHV1MVeXHI |

Honestly they are not much to look at.....the main changes in the engine that have the most effect are some of the least visible.....All the sleeve ports have been cut to some extent or another...but side by side with a stocker your not going to see much in a photo really....maybe a little I guess....the head buttons are cut...but they look stock ( more or less )....likely the most visible work is on the crank, piston, rod....

Hi Neal, is that "Clocked" crank out of a B5-PRO or regular B5?

Today's Race Results:)
So, today I started off my racing career with my first race ever out here where I live. Nice day, no wind, about 90 degrees so a little bit hot. My first race (club race, points race) 1/8 scale Nitro Truggy, running a Losi 8t 2.0, Clocked 25xz, and S&W Trophy Blend fuel. My first qualifier I took 6th. 2nd B main qualifier I took 3rd. 3rd B main qualifier I took 1st place and got bumped into the A main:) The A main I placed 3rd, and 6th over all today in points! I have to say, I never imagined that my first race ever would yield the results that I ended the day with! My Clocked O.S. 25xz really kicked ass today and was definitely the strongest engine out there by far! Though I didn't take 1st in the A main, I thought that 3rd was a respectable placing being that I started the A main off in last place and had to pass 7 other guys to get there. Hopefully today wasn't a fluke and i'll be able to repeat or surpass today's results... All I know is, that my Losi 8T 2.0, Clocked O.S. 25xz, and S&W Trophy Blend fuel is a match made in heaven:) 0 flame outs, 0 issues, and my engine never broke 258 degrees with the S&W fuel... |

I'm just trying to understand the work you have done to this crank. Where I have placed an arrow that's where you have drilled out into the crank to lighten/balance it I assume? Correct me if I'm wrong. Is this the same type of work the Clocked B5 and B6 get that you sell on your website or was this a "special"? |
