+1 on that snooks :D
& mark will do the piston/sleeve matching & flow tune on the MG66 aswell, for a price of cause.

I didn't quite type that write, actually meant just as good as the current NAA engines, but if the new GO Engines are improved then the new NAA engines will be killers but from what I have read about the GODZILLA & MG66, they would be hard to improve on.
I have a JQ Products Yellow Edition buggy that I want the Godzilla engine for so by the sounds of it I will be more than happy with its performance.

Either one of these engines would be great to run but the name GODZILLA just makes the engine sound tuff, haha, & for the price in the combo deal you can't go wrong.
Hopefully it shouldn't be to much longer before I can get one.

Zilla carby on Go GX11 5RHO.

Took the 3 needle carby off the Go GX11 5RHO today, and put the carby off a standard Zilla engine on for a try.
Transformed it from" hard to tune", to," what a sweet running engine." well worth the money to replace the standard GO carby.
Gave Mark a call to confirm same. The master stricks again!!

The carb that came with the MG66 is probably the best and easiest to tune carb EVER... I had nothing but trouble with both the 2 and 3 needle carbs on a GXII.. switch for a spare MG carb.. problems just disappear.. with the addition of mark's slightly modded needles so the tuning window is wider than a screwdriver blade the carb is as close to perfect as it needs to be.. fired up my zilla R3 yesterday after 5 months storage.. 30 seconds and a tweak or two and I have rock steady idle and brutal acceleration as ever..

Whats the different specs on the GODZILLA, I seen somewhere a while back that there is a standard version & a couple of other upgraded versions, ceramic bearing etc.
As a new website is currently being made & the old one no longer works I thought I would ask here as it should be in the next week or 2 that I order one for the JQ "THE Car", I will get the 2072 pipe combo for it as well.
I have the pro clutch that came with the Yellow Edition & the 13t clutch bell that it comes with, I also have a 15t clutch bell from the earlier edition "THE Car", which one would be the better option.

ozziii 04-10-2013 03:11 AM

I rang NAA (Mark) & ordered my GODZILLA & 2072 pipe combo today, can't wait to get it installed & get it going, I better think about getting some more NEO+ as well, I'm just about out.

Hey Thanks for the feedback , and sorry for being away so long .. busy as usual

Ok MG and Zilla are Gen 7 , MG carb is brilliant , reliable , economical and so easy to tune. We sticking with that one for sure :0 )

Zilla and MG can be upgraded from stock with

R1 Rod
R7 Nova Rod ( nice )
Piston Match and Flow Tune.

and then we can mod it but it just wheel spins from corner to corner.. not the best for racing. Good for Grass and On road racing.

We have a new site coming , ebay fees are rediculous and un competitive so we invested in some net tech.

Here are some logo ideas i have been playing with , let me know what you think

Pretty happy, my GODZILLA engine & 2072 pipe combo arrived at the post office today, I must say, it looks better than I thought. I put my JQ Products Yellow Edition flywheel & 3 shoe clutch on with the 15t clutch bell, normally the car has a 13t C/B. Now just waiting on a few glow plugs to arrive, should be here early next week from Ultra Hobbies (QLD), ordered a few med/hot Axe Rossi XT5 plugs that have a similar heat range to the O.S P5.
This is my first real engine, others were decent & better than basic RTR engines but nothing like a modified, be good to see how this thing goes.

Thanks must go to NAA (Mark) for the engine & getting it to me fast.

Mark does get on here as well but probably a bit busy to be on here a great deal.

I just rang & spoke to Mark directly & he got everything sorted very fast.

Just ran my third tank through the GODZILLA today, have only just moved the needles a little from stock settings on the flow tuned carb & already this engine is wanting to go, I have only just give in a couple of short half throttle runs & it gets up & goes well.
Still very tight to, my starter has 2x 750 motors & runs on a 4s 13.2v LiFe battery & it has already burnt out the switch & melted a connection trying to start this engine, mainly when engine is first started & not very warm, bit over 150F with a hair dryer.
Once its going & warm though its starts up real easy & quick, can't wait to get it tuned properly.
Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the help, the engine is going great & really starting to scream, trying to get my car set up better as I'm having trouble getting traction.
Running the P5 plug now, was also thinking of trying the P4 in the cooler weather, & have also put the 7.5mm carb venturi in instead of the 8mm just to see how it goes, this engine has great power so I was thinking the smaller venturi might make it better for me, tame it a little, haha, will see what happens I guess.

Looking forward to seeing the new site to, good stuff.

202kph with the MG66, nice, wonder how the GODZILLA would go.

I know having a GODZILLA in my buggy is awesome, I just need to be able to control its power now, haha, & find some traction, touch the throttle & the green monster awakens.

We will find out ;) soon enough . . ;

BTW

HUGE CUDOS to Manning Valley RCC ! i just got back from a Test and Tune day there and i was mightliy impressed with the driving and organisation of these guys ! I had so much fun and made a lot of friends in the process.

What i really liked was the laid back and friendly atmosphere at the track.

i cannot wait to go back there for another race day. The track was challenging and fun to drive.

New timing system worked without a glitch !

and a HUGE thank you to Magpie ! he shouted the entry fee for every one to attend ! this really made the weekend a success !

with people like that behind a track they cant go wrong.

Awesome !

Happy to hear you had such a great time on your weekend with us at MVRCCC. Everyone got so much from the Test and Tune day, then we all got to have some fun on race day and put into practice what we learnt. Looking forward to the next time you make the trip up mate :D

Proline Thunder Down Under 2013

I had a great weekend at the Proline Thunder Down Under 2013, held at Logan Off Road (The Brickyard), Brisbane.

I was running my Godzilla in my Hot Bodies D8T using a 7mm restrictor.

I got a tune on the motor last weekend (with the 7mm) and did not have to touch a needle all weekend. I was getting 11 minutes plus run-time.

I qualified 12th overall and started 2nd on the grid in the 30 minute B-Main. With a better fuel mileage than the guy who started in 1st , I was able to WIN the B-Main. Bumped to the 45 minute A-Main starting in 11th.

Finished 9th behind the likes of ,

1 Mike TRUHE, 2 Kyle MCBRIDE, 3 Adam DRAKE,4 Aaron STRINGER, 5 Kristian LOHSE, 6 Jesse. NEWMAN, 7 Sam PENNY, 8 Chris LANDER, 9 TrickyMick, 10 Keith WILLIAMS, 11 Robin SILVERS, 12 Brad THAGGARD, 13 Michael ZLOTKOWSKI, 14 Lucas AULBURY, 15 Greg LANDER.

I dont have the skill to be on these guys pace, but the Godzilla gave me the run-time I needed to stay ahead of a few.

Its a great engine for truggy & would have more power than a stock P5, Mark does a stage 5 Nova P5 as well although its not on the website now, its meant to have very similar power to the Godzilla but uses slightly more fuel. Mark is meant to be doing another engine as well, sort of like a more powerful Godzilla I think its meant to be.
