Is Werks out of business or what?
I actually emailed them last week, here was their reply; Thank you for your mail and interest in our engines. In regards to your question about our engines I'm happy to say that yes, we are still producing them. Unfortunately we are just experiencing the tail end of the supply disruption brought on by all of the factories in Italy being shut down for a good part of the year due to the pandemic/Covid. This has created a shortage of raw materials for production i.e. metals from foundries on top of a back log with outside services like anodizing and hardening which further delayed production. On top of that add on the shipping issues that I'm sure you have heard mention of on TV lately and you end up with a perfect storm of issues creating delays. The good thing though is that we are almost thought this, have engines in production and expect to be shipping them again within 30 days. So please rest assured all of our dealers will be fully stocked up again shortly! Best Regards, Werks |

Nope we're still here, I just have not been on here a lot the last few months! Anything specific that I can help you with?

Well it is now February 15th, 2 months after the post that said in a few weeks and none of the online retailers have any Nitro engines in stock yet. Why can't we just buy direct from werksracing.com?
|
I am also still waiting for the werks gt to get in stock but nothing for the last 3+ months..
|
just picked up 2 engines (my first nitro ever) i believe B5 II pro & B6
Both engines are broken down and resting in denatured alcohol for few hours putting them back together tomorrow morning soo stoked to own a werks been reading good things about this engines |
|
I also notice that the carb from B6 is diff from the B5 looks like Teflon body type any info would be appreciated
is the little circle groove sign of wear on the carb slide by the needle (see pic) https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...b53cdf197.jpeg |
Have the engines become available again yet? Looking for a B5
|
I have a b6 II pro and piston is toasted, little clip that holds wrist pin in place failed and messed up the piston.
Recently ordered b6 piston/sleve kit on amain, it was on backorder at the time. They refunded me 10 days later and now it says discontinued online. Now, p/s kit for b2 pro is available on amain and Im wondering if that piston would work in b6 since b2,b3,b5 and b6 are using the same rod. I mesured the diameter of my piston, its 16.5mm. Thats the info I need from you guys, diameter of b2 piston if anyone has one . |
Wrong response. Looking for a b5 piston sleeve.

just a forewarning
Hey guys look out for a scammer named GLENCOE trying to sell werks parts now that we’ve let it be known people are looking for parts. He tries to scam people into any parts they need. And he hasn’t been banned which is weird since there are a lot of threads in the scamming section saying they were scammed by him out of hundreds of dollars. He’s going after people in the normal threads now and not just the wantto buy (wtb) section. The moderators need to delete that section, and then ban glencoe. He almost got me today and when I saw him say send money friends and family I did my research. Moderators please give a look at this and clean the mess that he’s causing. |
