Anyone had any luck getting the TQ con rod kits?
My local HobbyWorks, in Fairfax,Va., just told me that the distribution warehouse has minus two in stock. Another dealer said if I pre-paid he would pick them up at the warehouse on Fri.. |
Rage works I would go back to your store, they can call Kris or Jesse the rod kits are in stock and shipping.
|
We will soon have some at racemugen.com

a TQ engine and the price they quoted me was twenty-five dollars more than the other not so local dealer, leads me to again shy away from dealing with............. that store. The employee was really excided to brag about all the new, Pucky-Mun or whatever the name, trading cards they just received. I did try to call the distribution warehouse, mid-day today, but no one picked up the phone. I would like to buy two con rod kits. So if any of you dealers get them in stock, please let me know. Thanks. |
Rage try again tommorrow Kris and Jesse will be there at 900 am,the parts are shipping to dealers right know.
|
I would like to thank Steve Wood, the owner of
Waldorf RC, for getting the two TQ con rod kits delivered to me so fast. I wish all engine companys would offer a con rod, wrist pin and piston clips in a kit like TQ does. I also hope the distributors can stock Steve's shop up with some TQ fuel soon. I'd like to buy a case of the 30%. |
Yep that connrod kit is awesome. Most engines that have wear on the rod's crank-pin hole also have wear on the wrist-pin hole, making it useless to only change the rod. I'm so glad you were taken care of rageworks. Thanks for your patience.

I am also glade rage works all the dealers should have parts this week,Thanks to Steve and the guys at Waldorf for stepping up.

Guys
I wanted to let everyone know ...i have gotten about a half a gallon on the 501t ...man this motor rocks ...same quality as the previous motors of another name ....so far no hitches of anykind ...and the glow plugs are solid ...the stock plug is still int he engine no problems or worries at all ....i would recommend to pick up a few ....i was very happy about this as the older grp plugs seemed to have some duds in there ...not the tq plugs they idle good are sturdy ....i will be running the 501t at our local summer shootout here in alabama this weekend ...so wish me luck  |
Good luck, Zixxer!
We have been having great success with the TQ engines! One of our Team Drivers runs one in his buggy, and man o man is it nice!! I am putting one in my buggy tonight :tire: |

I am putting one in my buggy tonight :tire: At about the 1.5 quart mark the motor dropped off the idle and richend up a good bit. Which was a good sign. I'm thinking that by the start of quals on saturday. I will be putting the screws to to it :) Also true is the fact that the different taper on the lsn makes it not near as sensitive to input as the ole grps were. Its definitely easier to get it dialed in. Holler at you later. And hey what's up no more z-car stuff. Or well this is the original mad russian isn't it ? |
