Running at high altitude might make you try the V1 combustion chamber, you will gain torque...

thanks for the info.
The pipes I have laying around are
Werks 2013
os speed 2060
os 2050
top 9886
jp4
jp3
and all sorts of headers. Im looking for a bit more top end and fuel economy then the current werks 2013 I have running on it.
thanks

I would try the Top 86 pipe if your looking for more top end.

Truggy Motor?

Very nice Richard. What is the motor in your Truggy - model number appears to be blocked out (prototype perhaps........:sneaky:)?

Also, has anyone tried the B03 in Truggy - if so what was the outcome?

Cheers.

Heads up

Hi tecnopower. What is the weight difference of the T02 and B02 compared to the cooling head of the B03? What makes the b03 so light compared to t02 and b02? Thanks.

It is a bone stock T02 but with lightweight cooling head. AWESOME engine:nod:

Review of the TecnoPower B01-21

http://www.buggy-sport.info/index.ph...er-b01-21.html

Any owners of these mills? Do they really look and feel this good? From pics in the above review the engines' quality looks amazing. How do they run?
I haven't seen one locally yet.

Any one using the 2053 pipe with tenopower engines. How does it compare to 2069 or 2034?

The B01 is based on the GRP tuned but has an updated carb and con rod. The GRP tuned was a very populair engine in its time (and still is).

The B02 is a further development of the B01.
The B03 is a new design with MES in the sleeve etc.

I ran the Dynamite 053 on my B03 as an experiment and it was very good.
Wicked bottom and mid, with top to burn. No comparison on economy with other pipes sorry.
The other pipe that seemed very powerful across the board was the 2013 (Werks).

John. 08-25-2011 12:13 AM

I think you will find the 2013 produce power especially down low on nearly every engine out there. But it's not the most fuel efficient pipe that's for sure. It's also probably one of the loudest of the legal pipes available.

grizz1 08-25-2011 03:27 AM

Yes, it certainly has a snarl to it :) I have run the 2013 on other motors and as you say, the economy is average.

Yes, correct, the 2013 pipe on our TecnoPower engines gives you the right low-end power you need but due to this you are also temped to use more power then you need during driving with the result of more fuelconsumption. I am sure that if you are able to ease the throttle and drive efficiently, then you are able to stretch the runtime, however all has to be smooth and you need to have the right setup of your car and the right tyres to get the power on the ground...

Gave my B03 it's first official race day yesterday, with around 23 tanks of run in and gentle (and not so gentle) bedding in.

Very impressed by this motor on the track.
I was running a 6.5 restrictor, GO EFRA 2072 pipe and header, O'Donnell 97T med plug and 25% fuel.
The 2072 pipe was a wonderful match, giving very strong (but smooth) bottom and midrange power plus insane top end, which was never really fully exploited due to running out of straight :)
On top of the power and drivability came some excellent run times.
In casual practice with the above set up we returned tanks times of 12.17 and 12.52 in my X-Ray 808 buggy. The 12.52 is a little innacurate as I had several brain fades and ended up on my roof a few times.
Race pace tanks of 11 min would be quite possible, and 10 min - 10.30 easily attainable with this set up.
I have some 6mm Tecnopower restrictors on order, and there is more than enough power on tap to run the slightly smaller 6mm restrictor and still have all the power and top end you would require for most tracks (in buggy), while increasing smoothness and run time even further.
The three of us running the motors yesterday (2 x BO3's and 1 x B02T) managed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the A final, so a very nice introduction for the brand into the local race scene here. Not one glitch or flame out all day.
My B03 temped at 120 C after the 30 min final, and on inspection the glow plug was mint. Golden brown and slightly damp, with the coil a nice silvery grey and no distortion. Pretty much what you are looking for, confirming the motor was giving those run times without being run too lean.
Thanks for a wicked motor Rody

i just break in the T02 with the 2034 pipe at lunch break today. 3 tanks WOT and then start to turn in the HSN. Damn thats already a hot engine in my Moogen Truggy. tires were already slicks but on the pavement i had much grip and already fall in love eith that engine. Ran the B01T engine bevore and bought the Truggy engine for the Indoor Race in Leipzig ( theres a 1on 1 Dash 4 Cash Race..1 round and who wins is one step up the ladder..1st prize 400$) so i love the extra power that engine gives me

mr21

Evening guys. Anyone know where to get carb needle o-rings for a Ninja MR21-BO1A? I'm also curious if any of the engines, in the Technopower line up, parts are interchangable (bearings and other internals). Any response appreciated. Thanks!
