The county had property set aside for an R/C car track here in town... finally we could get a good nitro track rolling!... not, last time I talked to the planner theyre selling it to private enterprise because they cant afford to do anything with it and laying people off everyday..... not a good sign for our local economy

Luckily, in a way, I wasn't making that much, about 1/2, but still hard, and I've been out for over a year myself, with no end in sight.. Looking like I might have to be a janitor at the Local Grade school..

Last race with a box stock engine, right down to the same plug I used to break it in, and a 2069 pipe I pitted at 9:30 and had a lap of cushion. At that same race everyone else in the A main pitted at 6-7 minutes running every different kind of engine. A couple guys couldnt even make 7 min qual on this track. It was loose and flat, lots of WOT everywhere.

So I'm pretty confident with a few changes I can go 10-11 mins .... testing that this weekend :)

ya my last few jobs in the last 10 years were the same way, steadily going down in pay and working more hours/harder...... didnt make much sense to me. Glad I left all of them though.... good luck Scotty, I'm sure you'll get into something that will be better anyway

ok thanks tony

We have been testing many different combinations lately and I'm glad to say last weekend at our local indoor high bite track approx. 130x60 we were able to get just under 14mins in buggy at 210deg, Ultimate V2 clutch systems and 2069 pipe. Indoor smooth and high bite are easy to get mega runtimes. I wont claim this will carry through to outdoor but I believe we have found something that will consistently gain us 10% more runtime.

We also tested another TecnoPower modified engine that we have been working on specifically for runtime and it went a full minute longer.... same car, clutch, pipe, fuel and plug--- 15mins!

Team Drivers:

On a side note we are looking to start assembling our team of local USA/Canadian drivers to represent Tecno Power. What we would like to see submitted would be a recent resume of races attended, future schedule of races, references (we will contact them) and current sponsors....

You can send to Tony @ RacerDist.com

Hey guys, we just got back from our state champs race and I'm happy to report the Tecno Power B01 is Utah state champion!

The track we raced at was 5700ft elevation, 80~ degrees and it was the perfect chance to test our new high compression/high alititude head button soon to be released. 40% fuel has always been the main stay at most of our tracks due to our high elevation but mileage is always a sacrifice with higher nitro. With our new high compression kit (plug, button and shim) we are able to produce alot of power AND retain 9-10 mins runtime. This kit will be available soon, I believe we have the right CC's and profile for maximum reliability at any track above 3000ft. Engine temps were 210-230 all weekend with dead consistent idles and power every lap. Not and easy feat

I think this is a testament to the reliability and consistent performance we're finding with the B01 engines.

.23 Truggy engine will be available soon, as well as a few other things :sneaky:

If you havent looked into a Tecno for your next engine, consider quality and reliability as you decide on an engine. This test/mule engine has 5 gallons and just finding the sweet spot in the pinch, rod play is non-existent, RPMS are still increasing as temps drop. A true high quality engine at mid price.... check them out at:

Or have your local shop contact us, we are setting up new dealers everyday.

Tecno Power ran perfectly this weekend...ran 2034 pipe...got the best mileage and power. I think its broke in completely now...

2 Attachment(s)
Pics of high compression button.

These will come as a kit, plug and button for 2500ft+ altitude, or low alititude/low nitro use. Available mid october.

Byrons Race

Are you gonna be at the Byrons race with this new mill?

Tony Newland 09-28-2010 12:18 PM

I wont be able to make that one :(

There's been quite a few sold on the west coast, maybe some of those customers will be there?

akiyama77 09-28-2010 12:30 PM

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for them

Tony Newland 09-28-2010 12:43 PM

They are still relatively new to the US, but selling fast. The first 2 shipments were completely sold out to dealers. The last shipment we received is almost gone as well. They should be getting out everywhere soon.

Tony Are you going to make it to the great state of Texas for the Rc Pro Finals at the end of oct

jmaxey51 09-28-2010 06:40 PM

quick question: are these engines based off the GRP engine? the crank case and carb looks very similar.

Maximo 09-28-2010 07:22 PM

Any idea when the .23 is coming ?
