Yes, that is true!
As an example I can tell that my 1st JP R09 engine had 0.01 mm crankpin wear off after 20 liters because the DLC coating JP uses. A standard Novarossi engine does not have such a coating and wears off faster.

But imagine how much the costs are if an engine needs to be created that strong, only getting it all right for a much longer lifespan you need to pay $200 extra for the production costs and indeed the low aftersales will raise the price 3 times at least to stay alive.

I always wondered how it is possible to get a simple Force engine for about 80 dollar which will run well and can be made faster while Italian brands do kost 3 up to 8 times that price.... OK, Asian productions are always cheap

The GROSSI MOTOR is interesting, but at $600 I doubt that there will be many takers. As I read the Grossi ad, the supplied engine does not have a ringed piston. This seems to be an option available down the line.

I think i'll pass for now. Maybe by the time the 5th generation water cooled engine comes out i'll jump on board, i'm not an early adopter anymore, i leave that for the kids.

Im thinking about mounting this first one I have on either a SPRINT CAR or a GO CART. This motor is like the ROLEX of R/C engines. I have a feeling that this will be a great boat engine as well. Thanks for the feedback guys! I have several orders pending and looking to make some sweet deals for you guys during my first month as a sales rep. I will be talking with HQ later this week and will keep you posted on those orders.

I'm taking a wild stab here but with it being liquid cooled I bet you'll need a much hotter plug that we're used to running. I'm interested to just have one, its a manufacturing marvel to say the least. The price point is well within the design IMO. There are many parts that are precision machined, that is neither cheap or easy, kudo's to the designer very innovative

So anyone try one of these motors/set-up out?

Saw on their youtube channel that they were on the west coast testing. Overall the filming was crap so hard to judge how the motor runs when the camera man is out of focus or panning around. The motor sounds healthy down the front straight but no indication that the water cooling is helping run times or tune.

Very interested in the design and the motor. Also does this motor fit standard engine mounts? It appears that you need a special engine mount and def. need a revo starter box or their starter box mod setup. Another $$$ maybe. A lot of coinage to switch over to water cooled just want to make sure it is worth it...
