Schepis Model Engines
Who have heard about these engines?
Is available in two versions. Firstly the standard plug and gold alu cooling head and secondly a turbo plug with a magnesium grey head http://www.rc-area.co.uk/blog/wp-con....21-Engine.JPG What you think guys?? :sneaky: |
I think they look sirio based. Which is good:nod:

Do have to say it looks like they straight up stole the cooling head design from our B7-Pro. |
Get rid of the magnesium head... unless you are running in cold conditions.

Care to elaborate on that?

For the sarcasm impaired, I believe houston is saying that these look like Werks engines (they do).
Ron, that he said Werks and not Sirio should be a nice feather in your cap. ;) |

Hey guys,
well the Schepis Model engines are Sirio based, few years ago, a spanish company called SIIM Racing took the sirio CL7B, tuned it and came up with the SIIM S21B, one hell of an engine and great power with great milage, i have 2 of them as we speak now and i won last year's season championship running one. unfortunately, SIIM and Sirio broke up  and no more SIIM engines by Sirio, now the schepis model is what was left from the SIIM engines, renamed Schepis model. get the gold headed one but with a turbo underhead, 2013 pipe, OS P8 plug and man you will have fun. cheers Ali |

judging from rons posts i believe we would get along pretty well , i have yet to meet him but probably will run into each other someday . KWT-Nitro, I've met the owner of Schepis several years ago, as you probably guessed (or might know) his name is Shepis lol. He runs an Italian shop called Schepis Models and they are actually the current Italian Sirio distributor. More people are probably familiar with his previous engine line which was called BOSS and was made by GRP. Needless to say that whole thing went up in smoke when GRP's money ran out uh... I mean factory burnt down. Interesting to hear that he is taking over the SIIM line also, guess that he is going to try and remain active in the export market, something that he did not have a lot of luck with the Boss line in. |
I thought Schepis Model were coming out with a new line of boss engines which were going to be designed by mario rossi??? I currently have one of the older Marrio rossi tuned versions of the boss with the magnesium head.

Apparently not between this and the REDS line debuting. |

OMG the power! that this thing has hahah its a weapon .. i reckon it has more pull and power than my DRAKE .21 PLAT ed .... cant wait to really stretch its legs on a big open place this weekend . all smiles

This is in the wrong part of the forums. It belongs with the engines part of the nitro off road.
|

It will probably get moved when one of the mods notices it.
Btw: get a 2013 offroad pipe for it and you will be very happy :D |
cheers bro .. question tho .. that number pipe is made by a few engine companies yeah ? ...is there one thats a lil cheaper than the rest? .
|
Your best bet is RC-Mushroom: get the Sirio 2013 offroad version (apparently the onroad and offroad 2013 differ slightly)
You want this one: http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_i...ducts_id=20033 Partnumber Sirio S21-200120 It's the new version with the thicker walls and braced stinger. Don't think you can get it much cheaper. |
cheers bro .. thanks for ya help :) .. gunna just stick it out with the pipe iv got for now .. but in the future might grab that pipe .gunna take it out on the weekend if its not raining to get it all tuned in (dam winter %$#@ )
could not give it a good run last night because i had to lock-tite the engine mount bolts that go through the carbon-fiber chassis .. unlike the alloy chassis the bolts come loose with-in 5mins .should be all good to go now tho :) . |

sweet-as il have to look into it :) ... why ya online bro .. does the engine i have , have much crank and sleeve work done or is it just a straight re-badged sirio with a mag head ?
|
As for as i know it's a rebadged Sirio CL7B (no STI), there is a tuned (by Sirio) version however. Not sure if you have that one. That tuned version will probably be close to or the same as the CL7B STI version.
STI = ceramic rear bearing, more agressive crank, better rod and selected parts (with serials/blueprinted) including matched piston and sleeve. |
ok cool no stress .. for wat i use it for being a sti or not does not matter .. its all fun :) . thanks for the info tho ..

yesterday arvo had a lil play with my buggy .. got the SM.21 tuned in real nice .. the things a screamer and after a full tank of being driven hard just sat there idleing .. ha love it... now i had a look at the pipe that im running and its a 9886 novarossi pipe .. dunno if it suits this engine but judging from what AMAIN has on its site its a top end pipe with ok bottom. dunno how i pipe can be good at both lol but any ways , if its a top end pipe thats wat i wanna stick with SPEED! :P . also when i got the engine it had a fin broken off the MAG head ,then i broke one off it yesterday , i think because of it being MAG it does not hold up the best to lil crashs .. so might look for a siro head or orion alpha head to swap it out .
|
SWEET-as .. www.the-border.com has the MAG sirio s21 head in stock .. so i can now replace the broken fin one i have .. it was only $35 or so .. bargin :) they only had 1 i think, so i thought id snap it up befor ya cant get em any more ..
|
Nice, hope this head last longer :) Magnesium is lighter but also more brittle.
|
yeah i hope so too , i looked around for a siro head like a evo or cl3b ect .. just hard on the net to find any , yet a good price but finding the MAG head which is for this engine was a fluke .. .im happy .. thats the first time iv used that website to buy anything and i have to say .. the price's are dirt cheap .. .
|
I've ordered there before aswell, usually they are pretty quick with shipping. They had/have a big sale and yeah, some parts are really cheap
