There were other ppl there using same engine getting 9 minute runs. I did take the LSN in 1.5 turns and still got 7 minute runs.

I also have the EBmods back plate

Same pipe? Same tune? Same car? Same throttle finger? Lol

you should get better runtime James , you got something out of whack

PERROTTO 09-16-2013 03:09 PM

Did you set the throttle travel/endpoint to open evenly with carb insert?

jccj816 09-16-2013 03:24 PM

EPA set correctly. No drag on drivetrain. I put all new bearings in before the mains. I was able to get the wheels to spin about 4 times on the stand with power on.

I'm going to put stock back plate in, new plug and lean it out a little more to see what happens.

I have a P5 with JP3 pipe and I'm only getting 7 minutes a tank. It's tuned well and I took it easy on the throttle and leaned it out a little more. It pulls in around 230 degrees. It doesn't sound to be too fat. 6.5 mizer Any ideas?

That JP3 is a fuel hog compared to a Novarossi 9901 that has similar performance

Just wondering how long I need to run in my new engine for?
All I can find in the papers that come with it is to run it for 30 mins for break in. ive done the heat cycle method for at least 30 mins total time now, still seems like a lot of pinch so have still got it on the richer side. anyone got advice for me?
Thanks

Hey hey All,
With all the people under my LHS's pit tent running 30% I've decided to try it in my MBX7 fitted BTT WC instead of my usual 25%. Is it recommended to change head shims? or if I am to be adventuress should I add or remove shims?

Thanks

If it's not a pre run in Nova I'd resort back to this method "LINK"

I know they might not be ideal, but anyone try any of the following on a stock bonito?

werks: 2013, 2057, 2058
os 2060

In a bind for an upcoming race, just wanna see if any of these work decently. Thanks

WildManDriving 09-27-2013 03:35 PM

There should be a few replies saying go the 2058, I haven't run it myself but there are a few at my local running them and seem really quite good.

Out of that pipe selection, I would run the 2013. Delivers excellent power bottom to top and sounds mean.
