Im using jp3 on stock jl in truggy. I will not try any other cause its so good right now, and still not at full half gallon. I have about any pipe if need be and still see no need to try any other.

rcdude236 02-17-2010 12:44 PM

hows the jp2 with the stock or mod? Has anyone tried it? I got a pretty high speed track and the jp2 is a top end pipe. Thanks again for the help

NitroFreakManHo 02-20-2010 10:02 PM

I took a vid of my 3rd tank. It's not on the track, but it's the best I can do for it being Winter. I made a bunch of WOT pulls on a stretch of pavement. It was -8˚C , with a mild wind. I'm very curious of the track performance after this run.

I tq'ed yesterday at Reo raceway in IN, tight indoor track ...had a set screw back off:cry:....stock shimed, p3,dyn086, 6.5 restrictor ...im also running the JLR flywheel ....

IMO the stock 8mm fixed venturi is choking the power band ....i am dead serious the motor had way more power with a 6.5mm ...:weird:

motor guru's whatcha think?.....i take video at PNB!

on a small track the 6.5 mm venturi would have more kick as it will have a crisper faster response off idle...a reduced creates a stronger signal across the spray bar at lower RPM, which results in a crisper more responsive feel, especially on a small tight track...... On a big track where it can open up the larger venturi works great...

I like the o86 pipe, but the jp-3 makes much more power on the bottom.

This engine is just plain awesome. My buddy's stock JL left a RB B9 in his dust on the large straight away, seriously give this engine a try!:sneaky:

The quality of this engine is outstanding. I can see this engine lasting 8+ gallons easily.

Is it ok if I use original Force glow plug or other brand?

aaron joy 02-24-2010 07:23 PM

I can't really say on the force plug, I run OD 97T with 25% and have no issues. My plugs last me a long time, one to two gallons.

sexy beast....now about the motor, that thing screams :D:flaming:

you get any vid with me on it?

easyryder 02-25-2010 07:00 AM

:) Went 10 mins no problem lastnight with jp-3, I did lean it about 1 1/2 hr on the top and drove with a lite finger with the fuel left in tank I think it would have got to at least 12mins. I could not be happier with these engines, the two I have are showing no signs of giving up and each have approx. 4 gallons and one had an air filter pop off for about 5 mins. at one race. Both are bone stock.

mamon 02-25-2010 05:56 PM

Guys do you have picture and part. no. of this engine Force .21 buggy engine?

aaron joy 02-25-2010 06:26 PM

http://www.nitrohouse.com/catalog/pr...ducts_id=21551

You want to make this engine even faster, pm Maximo (Clockwork Racing) for a modded version.

easyryder 02-26-2010 06:29 AM

Hey anyone who has tried the jp-4, how does it compare with the jp3? Thanks for any responses.

RoyJ 02-26-2010 09:04 AM

The jp4 is a mid-range to top-end pipe. The jp3 is a low to mid.
The jp2 is a top-end performer. The jp1 bottom-end.

So the JP-4 is like a dynamite 086, tried that, JP-3 wins!

RoyJ 03-01-2010 07:42 PM

Yeah the Jp3 feels better to me too. If I raced on large grass tracks or straightaways greater than 200ft, then I would consider the Jp4 or 086.

NitroFreakManHo 03-01-2010 09:49 PM

I finally had some decent weather today ( +3˚C ), so I went out and put 2 more tanks through my Clocked JL, but decided to try the AE2035 pipe out this time around.

I used a medium length Dynamite header with the pipe, ran one warm up tank, and one tank doing WOT pulls on dry pavement ( again, I know it's not the track, but it's all I have until Spring ).

I checked the time( 3:58pm ) after I refilled the tank ( tank # 8 ), and drove at WOT doing long pulls, only pulling over for any traffic when necessary. This thing screams, and it's it's uber-smooth. It will break the tires loose on pavement if I clamp it down, or it will ramp up as smoothly as I pull the throttle an the power keeps on pulling.
I shut it down after what felt like forever, and checked the time, 4:11pm! That's between 11 to 12 minutes . Lookin' good so far, I can't wait to get it on a track.:tire::tire:

Nitro-Racer* 03-02-2010 10:34 AM

does anyone use the p3 plug? who is it compared to the p4?

NitroFreakManHo 03-02-2010 12:14 PM

I had a JP-4 on it before the 2035. The JP-4 really came alive from early mid to high, but had a slight delay at the bottom.

The 2035 has more punch, and still pulls to the moon, I think it's suits a truggy better, but won't know for sure until our track opens up. The mileage with the AE pipe seems outstanding so far for the conditions that I ran it under that day.

Jaz240 03-03-2010 08:03 AM

This engine loves te Odonnel plugs 97t and they are half the price as the OS plugs

Have you tried the original Force glow plug?

aaron joy 03-03-2010 06:32 PM

I agree with Jaz, OD 97t. They last a very long time!

Maximo 03-03-2010 08:02 PM

I did a little testing on the mod JL today..... all i can say is this engine is ballistic !!!!

Maximo 03-04-2010 12:14 AM

here is a quick video of todays testing.... In this video we are tuning in 3 different pipes... however it gives you an idea of what the engine is like.... so far I like the JP1 the best

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTWsW-g18vo

NitroFreakManHo 03-04-2010 07:23 AM

Nice job Neal:nod: I never got around to shooting a video yesterday, but I'll aim for this afternoon! The JP1, and the AE2035 are the number 1 contenders IMO . They seem to perform and sound the same on this mill, it'll come down to mileage between these two.

NitroFreakManHo 03-04-2010 04:06 PM

I went out and filmed this this afternoon:

Clocked JL .21 AE2035 pipe

aaron joy 03-04-2010 08:52 PM

Nice videos Johnny and Neal. I may have some video Sunday of a offroad practice session. I am gonna test my RB 2045/192 and see how it stacks up to the JP-4 in my truggy.
