I'm going to be switching to Werks motors for this race season and want some opinions on what to run in truggy. Last year I ran a Nova +4C and I really like how smooth this motor is. The power delivery is perfect for my driving style. I'm concerned that coming from a +4 to a B5, the B5 will be too snappy for me. Are many people running a B6 in truggy? I'm looking for a smooth, linear powerband and 10 minute pits like I have been doing. I'm also running Werks clutches this year too and I will be running the B6 in buggy.

Thanks

I really like the B5 in truggy. It can be tuned with clutch. 2058 pipe might smooth out bottom. PM Maximo, he has dynoed all the pipes. I run the 2013 and couldn't be happier.

If you ar used to and like smooth linear engines then gonwith a B6 in the buggy also. Just pair it with the 2013 or 2058 pipe. 2013 will have a more agressive bottom, 2058 will be smoother on the bottom but have more mid and top plus better fuel economy. Both pipes will give you anneasy 10 minutes though in your truggy. Another plus for you if you go B6's in both is that you can pick up and break in 1 extra B6 and have a back up for both vehicles ready for big races etc!

well the 2058 is on its way to my house can not wait to try it out.

Theoreticaly all of the pipes should be the same and perform exactly the same. Trinity did make some copies of some of the LM pipes specificaly with the 2056 that they had made in china and was frankly junk. I dint know if they did the same with the 2013 though. Someone was also asking about the Orion pipe and again they should be the same just make sure that if you do get one it is the new thick wall construction, what we call the 2010 version. If it is not then if you sneeze on it wrong it will dent lol! Hope this helps a bit!

Ron is 100% correct that the eXtech's are made from really flimsy material, but the internals should be the same.. My eXtech 2057 is pretty beat up for the amount of run time that it has seen..

Someone in another thread said if you use OS plugs with non OS motors you pretty much have to stick with OS plugs after that or buy a new head button. Has anyone heard of this on the B5? When i bought my B5i wanted a plug i could get locally and the P3 was it. Well in the cold weather i've had a few slightly lean runs and its killing the P3's quick so i wanted to switch to Werks #5's. Any advice?

I've switched from OD to OS to Werks plug in both a B5 and B6. NO ISSUES what so ever... Run the werks plugs, if you cant get them. OS or OD will work also.

Thanks. I'll try the werks 5 plug then. Although with my problem i'm almost thinking a need a colder plug. The werks 5 is hotter than a P3 which is crazy.

Same here, I couldn't be any happier running the #6 plugs. Now just to wait for them to come back in stock:D:lol:
