Ron , we allready put 1.5 liters off fuel in the engine .
It performs really well. Normaly we drive Picco evo3 EDO or a special Mega, and all i can say is that the B5 in my opinion is even so fast as the others.

I hope we have a lot of fun with this engine, and perhaps it can help my son to win the Dutch nats. hahahah

No worries you have not ticked me off at all, I just think that it's important that when people put up posts for the whole world to read basicaly stating that I'm not willing to support or stand behind my product that people know the entire story about what is going on. Obviously there was a little bit more than what you decided to share with everyone in your first post lol.

In any case regarding your comments believe it or not I know quite a bit about fuel including the stuff that is being made over there. I'm not the kind of guy that makes uneducated or baselles posts, when I say things they are usualy based on first hand observations, personal experience or from discussions with people who's statements/experience I know I can trust. In this specific instance it was based on a combination of these.

As far as engines not stating that you must run a specific brand of fuel that is true, none of us engine manufacturers specify that. Because we are all assuming that the product used will be a quality product with sufficient oil content to protect the engine and it's component. How this comes into play is that our bearings are lubricated by the oil which is in suspension in the fuel. Don't have enough oil or the oil is of inferior quality guess what is the first thing to go? The bearings (usualy the rear) followed shortly there after by the rod bushings and/or the piston/sleeve fit wearing completely out. In your specific case your bearing failed. I explained to you why I thought this happened, heck look at the thread on other people that have had the same issue with that brand of fuel too.

If you don't want to believe me that is fine but to go on and say that the issue was as a result of poor quality bearings is just laughable lol! The B5 uses Swiss made bearings, I'm not sure what better quality of bearings that we can use with the exception of going to ceramics (all of which that we use are also Swiss made). Trust we when I say that if the "engine experts" you talked to were correct about us using "poor quality bearings" with the amount of B5's that are out there, there would be a TON of posts on here by people having failures, instead there is just one....yours. Think about it. In any case I have no interest in getting into a bickering match with you. Again if down the road you want to repair your engine the offer stands I'll give you a deal on whatever parts you require.

Regards,

Ron

And this is the problem why we lose support. If we are not careful this will end up like the trinity extech thread. (No offense Ron not comparing you to trinity) but as a human people can only take so much before they just say F it and stop posting and stop giving support.

Look at how long Ron's replies are. They are thoughtfully and timely put together. To post as much as he does takes a lot of time away from the operation.

The proof is in the pudding on this one. So change fuel or stop flaming a product that has been flawless.

I for one will only run the b-5 just due to the support on this thread. I dont want it to go away. One bearing failure out probably thousands of engines. Darn good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will second dishsoap, It takes a lot of time to keep posting here answering people + e-mail that Ron receive and answer(I'm proof of this). I like to see this thread keep going strong like it is and Ron behind to support, that was the reason I have a Werks :sneaky: Product. About the gentelman, Sr. Take a look how many pages and how many people are reporting about the performance on this engine, I got late to the party I have to read the whole thread to understand what this engine is about, I have nothing to said but great. 1 bearing out of thousands of engine sold? comon!!, Take the deal fix it and get a good fuel;).

Regards,
Elvin O.

What I find really interesting about this is that he put this similar post about a Go Tech, on the Go Tech thread, at roughly the same time!

just a plug for the gx7r run it in my truggy on weekend and the front bearing let go but the engine run hard 1 flame out in final but still managed 3rd with half a front bearing top motor i had never had and engine what just keeps going and Go ing id like ta see other branded engines run well with half a bearing anyhow motors sweet just needs new bearing :D
Apparently, front engine bearings do not like him!;)

Not to mention the fact that he's obviously a local to the guys at Massive Mods. I'm sure they are the "well known engine modders" he is refering to, who also produce the fuel he's defending! The proof is in the posts!!!

Hi Guys, just an update... have more than 10 tanks in my B5, and its running great. I put a .9springs in the clutch and still has kick to jump all over the track.

Nice power, smooth and the tank last around 7 min (still rich). I can imagine how its gonna run when i start to close the HSN.!!!

Some guys look my car/engine, and i cant tell you there´s gonna be another 3 B5´s engines running in Mexico. ;)

Hey guys, just ordered a B5 from amain. Was wondering if anyone has run the jp3 pipe with the B5 in Truggy and how it works for you? Thanks.

revo7617 03-09-2010 12:40 PM

VWVR6_T, Ill do that.

I always been a guy who likes to test new brands or products, Thats why I started racing the team Magic B8RS Chassis.... and now with the B5.. wow... the car is so light and the engine powerful = nice combo.

Im running Sidewinder 30%, 053 pipe and Odonel 97T.

bbennett, Ill be racing that exact combo.. b5+JP3+werks clutch in an MBX5T, hope this weekend see some action, and i'll tell you about it.

If you have the chance and the mula try 2013 power everywhere or 2057 for a smooth powerband and better run time. Byrons race or pro driver 30% fuel formula is very close to Werks :sneaky:fuel.

I'm running the JP3 (got tired of waiting on amain to show the 2057). If I'm not mistaken you go to the Daytona track periodically. Perhaps you could try it out next time.

And fwiw, I think they go well together, but perhaps not as well as the Werks pipes.

:confused:Slow down buddy!! I don't think he was talking about you!

Kingsbury 03-09-2010 01:43 PM

BBennett, the JP3 will be ok in truggy. The best pipe for truggy in my opinion is the Werks 2013.
