js

Marc and his wife were cool, offered his help due to my frustration with my tune. I am a decent engine tuner, my motors just weren't really running.
I live in NM and race on the WC and Until then I had not ever heard of JS, I've heard of Eb mods (who hasn't).

Thats hardcore!....... but so neccessary:D The list for LCRC is getting deep http://www.rctech.net/forum/racing-f...tral-pa-5.html Plus there are additions to the track and this amazing track only runs once a month, so the ROAR race and everyone else gets the finger:D

First time on the track with my full mod last night. My street tuned seemed spot on and the engine was flawless. Im still a bit rich and I only have a total of 4 tanks through it. I timed the 3rd tank. I got 9min 40sec till dry in buggy and thats the hardest fuel mileage track Ive been to. My race prep took about a gallon before I saw run times peak. On that engine I started on this same track getting around 8min 30sec with no fuel filter and wound up with around 10min 45sec tanks w/ fuel filter gallons later. 10 min pits are usually not done at this track. 10min 45sec just squeaks in for me to do a 10 min pit. Ahhhh yeah:tire:

jbright33 07-07-2010 05:42 PM

taken it to the limit tom lol. i can usually do 10-10:30 on my d8 but usually pit at nine sometimes 8 depends on our race time. and I have been seeing high 13's low 14's in my truggy. Im thinking about just racin truggy this weekend at lc and putting my full mod in it prob fly on that track.

rallyebmx 07-07-2010 05:59 PM

No way-race both! LCRC is more of a 'motor track' though. I just street ran 2 more tanks in my full mod. Got it a little leaner and its screaming. Ill run some more timed tanks when I get there Sat morning. Im usually the only one in buggy going for 10 min pits there. I hope I get enough run time on the full mod so it loosens up a bit and I can hit 11 min:)

well it depends my front shock tower is bent and i thought i had one to replace it but didnt so i orderd one today. payed for 1 day ship so if it get here il b runnin buggy if not il prob just stick with truggy.

finally got this motor running great, but anyone know what would cause it to get half way down the straightaway and really start screaming. Almost like it kicks into turbo mode, but it doesn't do it till it gets almost all the way down the straight. I use a 086 pipe and p5 plugs 1.1 clutch springs on dynamite shoes. Could it be the pipe or the tune off got the 7.5mm restrictor in it and only getting 7 1/2 min per tank in truggy????:tire::tire:

sounds like a rich bottom end. but also try using 2- 1.1 and 1- 1.0 springs i run this setup alot with my shoes

motors ran excelent yesterday at lcrc cash race ended up taking 4th would have had 2nd but had a issue that was not motor related. also shout out to tom stober who was on fire in buggy class with his js killing mazzara's orion mte till the o great mugen durability took a dump lol.

gdux 07-11-2010 07:49 PM

Stober's buggy was Faaast yesterday. I took 5th in that main with a 12+ gallon bluehead Vspec. When it's done I'm gonna send it to Ed at EB to confirm all original parts. Dad never opened it other than to seal it.

Would have done much better if not for an over tuned bumpercar driver, for which my car did not have a big enough fly-swatter.

Maaan, new JS full mod was flawless yesterday!! I was the only one planning a 10 min pit. Mazzara looked at my tank after a heat and said I would never make it:D I had 2 timed tanks before racing started-11min 30sec and 12min flat;) He was right after all as the front end on my buggy locked up 5 min into the main:(
