MadBrad,
It truely depends on the wear factor, surface finish condition, resulted geometrical sleeve-case fit, along with engine model you are refering. I always note on invoice what I see each engine model piston + sleeve set recieved and serviced. With out seeming short here, I have seen some not worthy "one" reconditining-resizing service, with other repeat customers getting 2 and even (not often) as many "three" light resizings the engines life.

I am hoping my set will arrive for recondtioning this week~

blktransam 10-25-2010 07:14 PM

odd local guy uses the rayaracing system and he sponsors me and I have had one brand done over 5 times before I sold it to a local who has had it done at least once...the 5 times I had it done didnt "need" it but I always liked to have it snugged up when going to bigger races

getting caught up today

anthony, Thanks for the heads up. As noted on invoice , one set slightly tighter than other. Please make refernce to next prefered tightness requested when ordering service again.

Dr. Evil, My experience has been "one" piston+sleeve reconditioning-resizing service, mabee "two", before the sleeve-case fittment is altered to its extream. There are a few guys that like a "Light" tightness that may get a third, but not very likely in the same race season. Monty at Houstons Engine Services has ran many resized engines to date with his mention above about surface finish conditions is key,and every thing to do with a piston+sleeves longevity. Thanks for posting my previous post Martin

bigjayjay1, I do ALL car, truck, buggy, and truggy engine models....12 thru 46 sizes. Along with many marine, and small block airplane engine models requested specialy by repeat customers.

NitroriousRC - Martin, Your package from Australia should arrive here in the next day or two.

I will be here working thru today and into tomorrow if any questions guys...........call, text, email, or post here on RCTECH

Your welcome

Your package return shipped USPS Global Priority mail with calculated 6-10 day delivery. Please confirm arrival, and email me with any further questions. Your sets came out very nice (no problem with surface finish conditions, etcetera) so I will expect an easy rebreakin , with no troubels.

Un like the (4) sets came from Kentucky  piston pitting, headbutton pitting, liner scratches, out of round conditions. Fortunitly the liner scratches honed out nicely, with only 1 set inspected only a few light-light piston outside diameter scratches. Even still a longer rebreakin is to be expected.

To my country place now to winterize, and complete a few projects never got done because I too busy playing with toy cars all year, LOL :D

Call,Text, or email me with any questions guys....

And thanks for the FeedBack MONTY HOUSTON.....I'll be sure to double up the peanuts with your next package :D

Sorry Martin,

In fact I was up on the hill at my country place hanging Birch wood in the garage for 3 days. Got a very small section to do tomorrow. Your package should get to you late this week / early next.

Burt,
Thanks! Depending on the level of wear inspected your piston to sleeve fit when recieved is the amount I resize the sleeve to reastablish a good seal again. The (0.0004") 4 tenths of one thousandth of an inch indicates refernced resizing done that set. This is my procedure every set I handle, and assists me with accurate results. I also note inspected surface finish conditions, and when honing performed if found nessissary. If there are any questions, I can just pull a customers invoice for review. Hope this helps.

Hi Ray, i think Australia post must be on strike or something and unfortunately my set is yet to arrive. Checked with the mailman again this morning (Saturday) and nothing as yet, so hopefully it will be sometime after Tuesday.

Wednesday brang no joy either

Keen to hear if it was possible to be redone as i know it was fairly worn out, and the anticipation of if it turned out good or not is killing me lol.

chalkie 11-16-2010 09:35 PM

Hey Ray,

I'm in Australia as well, there must be some hold up as my parcel has not arrived either. Was sent on the 4th by one of your earlier posts. Just to add to that I have been waiting for a parcel from A-Main as well and it is way late as well. Must be a delay somewhere.

Will it looks like there is a postal issue somewhere. My A-Main order arrived today and it was ordered 5 days after my repinch order was shipped back. Does anyone in the US now if there is a way a international priority parcel can be traced. It has been 15 days so far on the return leg and my last order was there and back in 18 days.

Just got an e-mail back from Australia post saying that there is up to a 3 week back lodge of mail coming out of some areas of the USA. So i'll just have to wait a while longer.
