hey guys,

does anybody know whats the difference between the sirio on-road plugs and
sirio buggy plugs? I ask because i ordered some of them for my xxxv and it appears they are
turbo buggy plugs (body is black). I have s6 and s7. Can i safely run with them in my sirio?
And if so, which is the most common number you run on your xxxv, s6 or s7? I run with 16% nitro
and stock head shims.

The hole with the spiral is a bit bigger. They will run fine, but next time try to get IDM, Capricorn or original Sirio plugs.
Francesco Tironi told me in Lostallo, that they are running nothing but 7's and so far it worked great for me.

thanks stefan, i ll try the s7 first and see how it goes. I hope the heat rating off
the buggy plugs its the same with the on-road plugs. i ordered on-road plugs but
for my suprise they were buggy plugs and unfortunately ordered 4 plugs! The good thing
is that they are half priced compared with the piccos!

Mine is like this, and it absolutely screams.

gfilos 02-11-2011 07:34 AM

you mean without any compression? I checked compression by trying to
keep the engine horizontally by its compression but engine dropped fairly
quick.. it was weird because engine had some pinch and suddenly after
a race day, all pinch and compression is gone...

btw, i did make the mistake of posting it on wrong section, i know it, sorry guys

If it's one of the aluminum sleeve motors, they have compression when warn and just scream like that.

Has a new Sirio engine, S21 BK EVO2 but no crankshaft, are they able to get somewhere?

Pedro Jesus 08-12-2018 05:28 AM

Sirio went bankrupt a few years back.
The engine I would have liked to have sampled from Sirio was the Sirio CL7B STI.

have you ran this engine, I got one last year that was just broken in and not really ran it's still tight. I gotta see what pipe is good with it. Is this engine like a werks b2? Weren't they made in same factory not sure if they are different.

I did not get to run with Sirio CL7B STI, I was to buy one in 2008 or 2009, I do not remember anymore.
Yes the Werks are made where the Sirios were, but the Werks B2 has nothing to do with a CL7B STI.

Could somebody please help me match a connecting rod for a SIRIO .27-RE/TX 7 port, designed for TRAXXAS REVO/TMAXX? I imagine the conrod I need is interchangeable with other make/model engines? I have been searching high and low to find factory specs on this engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

S30140013        CARBURETTOR RETAINER
S30140014        ROTO START SCREWS

Hi Tim,
I know a lot of time has passed, but i am desperately trying to find the right fuel inlet assembly (inc HSN) for a Sirio .23 Monster Power motor.
i see several on this list and wonder if you know which one goes with the .23 motor? or do you have any old paper work on the motor? It looks like you used to be right across them and supply... many moons ago tho.
cheers
Rob

Hi

I got a Sirio .12 MT and trying to source some spark plugs for it, but i found that there are Normal and Turbo plugs, tried to find if this engine it's Turbo or Normal and can't find any info, anyone knows this info ?

With normal plugs the hole and thread (1/4" in diameter) is completely running through, with a turbo the 8mm thread ends in a small (+/-4mm) hole.

Sirio .09 Resurrection

It's not letting me insert the attachments for some reason, so I'll link to them here: [ [url=http://digitalperfection.com/engine/IMG_6729.jpeg]photo #1 | photo #2 ]. I have an old .09 Sirio engine that I had in my 1/12 Kyosho Spada 09. I probably ran it 5-6 times.. all told it can't have more than 2 hours of runtime on it, but it's been sitting idle for several years now. I'm finally getting around to restoring the Spada, but parts have become incredibly scarce, and like everything else, what is out there is ridiculously overpriced. I have seen a few .12 versions of this engine out there, so that would probably be the choice if I were to have to replace it... but my question is ... What would be the first few steps y'all would recommend to get this thing running again? I'm definitely a rookie still when it comes to nitro engine maintenance... so I need to proceed carefully. Any advice appreciated!

Sirio Turbo Monster Head .27

Acquired an older Revo with a Sirio Turbo Monster Head .27 engine in it for free. It looked in rough shape the guy said it had been sitting in a barn for a number of years and he thought engine was seized. Long story short I took engine out pressure washed frame and took engine apart cleaned very well, sprayed WD-40 on everything put it all back together and the thing ran awesome even on the original Turbo glow plug it came with. I’ve been very impressed with this engine. Not only is it quite a bit faster than my 3.3’s and almost keep up with my F5.9 but it’s been very easy to tune and very dependable. Wished they still made these engines. Oh well I’ll enjoy it while it lasts and hopefully still be able to find a piston and sleeve for it when it needs one. If anyone know where I could find that please let me know. Thank you

Can I use Sirio S09-R high performance engine with KF01 Standard Muffler pipe set?

Thinking of purchasing the Sirio S09-R engine described on Kyosho’s website as “While the standard engine has two ports, the "R" has three ports. The internal structure of the engine is processed in the same way as a 12-class race engine, making it truly worthy of the "R" title. It is in a higher class in terms of performance and durability, and has outstanding power at high revolutions.”

Would it be ok to use the standard KF005 muffler set that comes with the KF01? Or would I have to use the KFW019 Tuned Pipe set which is so rare these days?
