Engine break In

Helloo.....

I just broke in the first few tanks on my 12 tup today. it was just a great feeling.... The flywheel was impossible to to turn had to prime it really good to do so...I used a OS P6 plug which was just great. did the break in as per the site's videos. I ran the car on the ground after the 3rd tank i am not running more than half throttle most of the time except for the usual full speed bursts at times. The power looks good and all. But i feel that the clutch is not engaging properly or might be slow.

Do we need to change the cluctch shoe on the v one rrr for the sirio. ?

any other pointers till i restart the break in again, as i just did one tank on road, coz my main shaft ering came off and i had to come back to get another one.

Hi,

Does sirio make any exhaust systems that will fit a TG10mk.2 or FW-05R chassis? If not, what would be the next best thing?
I know Mielke make one that will suit.

Cheers

guys, is the 12wrc sirio worlds replica engine modified or stock? i saw one at rc-mushroom for $330 w/ a legal pipe. is this a good deal or what? thanks for any info:

I am yet to start re-breaking the engine probably this weekend. when i am running it rich does it matter if i give full throttle or not coz the engine does not reach full RPM anyways.

As mentioned in the catalog where they say do not run at full speed > which i presume means at full rpm not full throttle ?

Whereas once you are at Half turn more than than the optimum you are in any case not going to reach the so called full speed ? isntit ?

or if no we need to just keep it a bit rich than usual and not go full throttle ?

keeping in mind this would be my 4th total tank and 2nd tank on ground first 2 tanks were run in off the ground as per sirio site.

Please enlighten me someone ? :D

The clutch might be engaging cause the engine is still rich at run in.

Anyone know if the 3 or 5 port Evo 2 can hang with an RB V12 3 port turbo. For the price the RB is quite expensive and if it's not that much faster than the X12 as they say, then I'd want something with more power for my huge track and for bashin in the parking lot. MY LHS has one for $170, but not sure if its the earlier Evo 2 or the latest Evo2. I read somewhere that they also work better with shorter gear ratios? My current gearing on the HPI is about 6.5:1 first and 4.4:1 on second (I'll get the actual numbers later). Think that will work fine? I'm just trying to find an engine good in price, but with a lot of power. Not able to get the RD logics or Palmaris engines.:)

hello from France,

The new Sirio Evo 3 set TQ in top class at the first round of the french championship.
New case, new piston/sleeve
Nice engine, lot of torque.

I would definitely get one of those engines! I gone through 2 gallons of hard racing with my Evo 2 and it has been strong all the way through. I think the pipe I am using fits the engine very well. There are no flat spots in the power band. I think the best part is fuel economy. I seem to be getting better run time than the Novarossi motors.

When can I get the EVO 3?

HarKonnenD 03-14-2005 09:11 PM

Which Evo 2 have you been running and how much run time?

Racing4Evo 03-15-2005 07:16 PM

I don't remember the part number but it's a 3 port SG shaft and turbo button. I think S12 TRP 1?

HarKonnenD 03-16-2005 10:50 AM

Kewl. I'm debating on that 5 port or waiting for the LHS to get the 3 port legal one.

Hi,

I've only every used novarossi C7TGF turbo gold plugs on my .12 engines.
Is the Sirio S001720127 turbo plug S7 cold exactly the same as the novarossi C7TGF turbo gold plug or the non gold plug?

Cheers
