RB Concept Engine Thread..

Well broke in the BX w/ 2097 pipe at about 1/2 gallon. Going to race it this weekend and see how it does.
Out in front of my house on the street so far compared to a B9 with a 2045 that has 5 gallons on it the BX seems a tad tamer on the bottom end but really screams at the top.
I run a serpent s811 4 shoe steel clutch with 7075 aluminium shoes. On the B9 I would run 2 with soft and 2 with medium springs. For extreme bottom end I would run all 4 mediums. So far with the BX combo I'm running 2 medium and 2 hards for the snap I'm looking for. Both engines running a 7mm venturi.

We'll see how it lasts. So far I'm happy.

Good afternoon. I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can purchase either an old RB Cconcepts World S7 or know where I can purchase a new piston/sleeve for one. I have one and some how, the bottom skirt has broken off. The broken part of the piston scrapes the sleeve and I know if I run it like this, it will eventually nick the chrome.
IF anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

If you can find an S7 or WS7, WS7II, WS7III, or WS9 piston and sleeve set you can use any of them in that engine as well.

There have been several versions of it.. I think at least one of the previous versions was - the V4 or V5.. Some people have said the V8 is a C6... 14mm instead of 13, etc.. I'm always in the market for powerhouse engines, but already having the Fire, an Argus A52, and a modded Picco, I think I might want a Roma or OS 25 for serious power.. Maybe an Alpha 23.. If the Blast V8 is all that though, I might be tempted..
I like the Fire 11 very much so far.

Yes, I have a F11 also that feels like it will be a monster, I'm still getting mine broke in, only have like a fuel bottle thru it, but I still have other engines.I can race, C6, Shark, NR 21-4, WS7III, and a Ninja.

So which if any of these new RB plugs are identical to the NR C5TGC/C6TGC?.. The V3 silver-bodied ones? I recently got a couple of the NR 5's and 6's, and they have silver bodies, not black like I was expecting.. Definitely C5TGC and C6TGC.. Have a 5 in the Fire now - seems good..

Just back from testing the 2058 on the Fire 11. First impression was good-ish. I would say it had what I think people refer to as a more "linear" feel. It had maybe %5-8 more top end, bottom end was similar - with the more linear feel in the transition from bottom to mid. But what I also noticed was that it seemed to cut run-time pretty significantly.. Was OK, but I'm not sure I wouldn't go back to the 053 for racing.. Just going by feel, but the F11 seemed to run noticeably longer with the 053. Even before having something else to compare against, I was always surprised how long the tank lasted. With the 2058 it's the opposite - surprised how quick it empties. Was noticeable today. Maybe with a smaller venturi the F11 would feel more "linear" with the 053.. Defo got the power bottom to top with it..
Also tested the 086 on my modded Picco. And man, that made a difference. That engine was brutal.. I don't know why, but when I had an 086 back in the day it just never ran well on anything I had. This time though it was immediately apparent - mega power for that engine..
ps BTW, today was probably 6-10C cooler than the last time I ran (with the 053)

well this week I decided to modify a nice used RB C6 I had laying around..... Applied all my newest tricks and and decided to take it out the the field for an initial shake down..First impressions are the engine is fantastic...the engine has an almost musical exhaust note and a never ending top end.... Poor George got left int he dust

Have you seen the RB Blast V8? Is it really like a C6?

I have too many engines at the moment, but over the winter I'll probably be wanting to treat myself to something new. But I think this time I'll really want something monstrous, so I'm dubious a .21 will do.. The modded Nosram I have now is awesome - hits the spot, but the Fire 11 and Argus I guess would be more "tame" engines for racing. I want something silly though to back up the Nosram.. Thinking more like a .25 or .28. But the Blast V8 is really affordable - €180 incl. 2045 pipe..
Also, are you getting away from the 2058 pipe now? Seems all you run now is Nova pipes with various headers...
