Hey guys

I saw Ryan Maifield did realy well with the new RC8T at the Manufacturers Cup race in Idaho this weekend, I noticed he was using the new reedy engine I assume it was a .21 ?

Just Curious any how congrats to Ryan

Rick Hohwart 08-05-2008 02:20 PM

CJ RC 08-05-2008 04:06 PM

It has notbeen determined officially. But we expect a full team of drivers using the engine at the upcoming Worlds with the release shortly after.

Marcus Falconie 08-29-2008 06:15 PM

reedy .21

Go to you tube and look up nitro pit nitrox round 2 and you can see Maifield with the new reedy motor. There is also a video of him driving his new RC8T with the same motor.

The engine is not for sale yet. our team is testing some new parts this week in preparation for the World Championships. We will have details available after the event.

IMO...they should let us know a release date, most of us like to get new motors before the spring, the longer the wait the more people will want to try motors already released....kinda what happened with RC8T:flaming:

jamminnay 11-12-2008 01:25 PM

i heard that they were having some problems with fuel mileage and that is what is taking so long... i heard this from an ae team driver but who knows?

Hu Maybe i'm reading wrong but I saw on AE webiste that Mr Reedy retire in 2004. So He did design this motor 4 year ago at least ?

Marcus Falconie 11-12-2008 01:36 PM

wingracer 11-12-2008 06:53 PM

I can blow up a GRP in my sleep (onroad, haven't tried an offroad) and if you can't tune an RB then get an electric conversion.

Now let's get back to Reedy talk.

jamminnay 12-30-2008 12:01 PM

JoeyTheRocket 12-30-2008 12:23 PM

I have a feeling Reedy, anybody know any prices on them? Or a ball park?

jamminnay 12-30-2008 02:19 PM

i have not heard anything about pricing yet.. i am very curios though

rearviewmirror 12-30-2008 02:27 PM

Some more information would be nice. They'll most likely release it to the mags first for a full shakedown then it'll be available for public consumption. They'd be better off getting them out before the spring racing season starts.

nover367 12-30-2008 02:54 PM

reedy

hmmm lack of information sounds to me like this engine was a failure :ha: but hey thats just my two cents lol:)

Why would you think that? I pitted with one of their drivers at a race about a month ago and his engine ran great all weekend. What he said is that they're still tweaking on it, and they were still getting new parts in to try. They want the engine to be the best it can be before they put it out for sale, more power to them for that.
