Mugen JX21

If you can get your hands on a 2060 i think its the best. It's a little softer on the bottom and gets great mileage. It's a little pricey but if you look around you can find a deal. I found one for $30 at my local track.
A friend of mine runs the AE35 and loves it. It makes great power and is around $35-$40 new.

Hey guys,
Just a question for the guys in the know.
I just purchased a new JX BO1A from Amain and its head has a much darker grey anodising on it than my current BO1A. The only difference is i brought my current one in Australia and it came in a Ninja box, the one from the US came in a Mugen box.
Has there been a change to the head colour?
Not that its a big deal im just interested to know why.
Cheers

Did your guys newer engines have the extra wrist pin clip included? I just received my new engine two weeks ago and noticed the extra clip wasn't there.
Also how many of you seal the carb and or back plate with these engines? Is it very necessary?

I did not seal mine either and it runs great. On another note I 2nd using the 2060, I ran a club race tuesday night. I got 10 minutes and had at least 30 seconds left in the tank. That is better than I ever got with my +4 and it is sooo much more drivable.

On the color of the heads; I have 5 of these and they all looked darker when new; but as the heat and sunlight have gotten to them, they all lighten up. My newest one was dark compared to my older ones; but after a few weeks, now its the same color. I dont know if this is the case for everyone, but mine have lightened over time.
