I want it.. where is it...
I wish they would at least give updates as to what's causing the delay and stuff.. silence makes it hard to wait

The same thing happened with the release of the Hyper 9..it took so long and got delayed so many times..I bought the Xray!!

Just curious if any of the people out there that have tried this engine could let me know how they run? How's the power/runtime? What pipe works best? etc. etc.

you can either wait for the Odonnell pipe, or get the 2060.. I'm waiting.

AE/TTR 2035 and Nova 9853 (and its Ofna and Dynamite copies) seem to work pretty well. The OD pipe may well be the best but obviously you cannot get it right now. Run time is at least 8 minutes in a buggy. I think it may get better as it breaks in. Power is smooth and seemingly limitless top end. The engine has a very crisp sound too. I think you will like it in a buggy. I have not tried or seen it tried in a truggy yet.

O'Donnell Driver Ryan Eckert here in florida ran it in his truggy at our last florida state series race, he Tq'd and won and his truck looked sick fast.

I bought my O'Donnell SS21 yesterday from Ryper Hobbies, as I was looking for something to replace my LRP 21x, and I know that Dave the owner was planning on trialling one too. I've done 10 or so tanks break in, and I'm very impressed.

The first 2 - 3 tanks were obviously very boggy and 4 strokish, but after about 4 tanks, and leaning the top out a little (1/8) it started to respond, and after about 8 tanks, with a little more on the top, and a little on the LSN (1/4) it's really snappy.

Running the JP4 pipe and Rypers own 'Purple Rush' fuel, and it's really impressed me. It's sitting in my D8T, and will get it's first race tomorrow at our Masters Day event.

The engine is Great because there's a great man behind the design ,Everyone was putting him down when it wasn't arriving in time but look at what you have now a missle,a motor that hums, and runs.

Im very happy you guys love the motor .

Steve odonnell rules.

mattwoodcraft 07-19-2009 01:59 PM

i have run in my odonnell the motor seems okey about 8 min pit stops in the truggy but , i be dammed if i could get even close to 11 mins out of this thing .

the motor is nice but i would like to try the od pipe i wonder if its any differance to the ae 2035 ?

im not really yet convinced on the motor i like it but ... i need compare to another car when running side by side
