Well I'm using 30% Nitrotane and my carb was sticking on the first gallon and it is still sticking on the second gallon. My son's Vspec has been fine since I switched him over to Nitrotane. Do I have two bad gallons of Nitrotane?

It was real bad last weekend so lastnight I took the carb apart and polished the slide tube in the carb. It's really free when it cold so I'll have to see when I hit the track again. I hope I can get this resolved because when the carb is not sticking the motor is great.

I am sure Adam wouldn't like seeing a GRP engine run at 250*. On a 110* day, a GRP runs around 210 max. I don't recommend running these engines over 210*.

Hey it was not me who was told by adam.. it was my pit man who went up to adam and asked him. I am deaf so I cant hear a CRAP! All I was told that he said to tune it up 250-260.. and when he did that, i went in for MAIN race.. it went down to 210..

DirtyDezPirate 09-30-2008 08:10 PM

Back to what everyone said about temp guns.. I used my LOSI tune screwdriver that has temp gun too.. it only showed 2 degrees colder than my team buddys big new techolongly temp gun that he spent alot on. And ONFA temp gun showed 10 degrees hotter..

So I want to find the right temp gun for this mill.. any suggestion??

whats wrong with the screw driver...?

DirtyDezPirate 09-30-2008 08:49 PM

Nothing is wrong with it.. even though some guys on my team complains about it.. i guess they think that its not accured.

how many head shims is everyone using on 30% nitro?1stock or are you adding the 2 xtra shims?
thanks

DirtyDezPirate 10-04-2008 10:53 AM

I dont use any shims.. I was wondering the same, but then again adam says that the mill was made for 30 percent and doesnt need shims..

I have question about the grp plugs.. Has anyone tried the PLUS or even know what thats supposed to do?? It seems like theyre making it like splitfire plugs compared to NGK racing plugs.. lol..

To be more specific, on NeoBuggy Adam states that he runs his engines box stock and does not add any shims for 30%. GRP's come shimmed from the factory with (1) .3mm aluminum and (1) .1mm copper for a total of .4mm already installed. So Adam certainly has shims installed in his engines, he just doesn't add any additional shims for 30%.

Good Luck.

yeah

yeah thats why i said adam said he doesnt add shims.

Anyhow.. any knowledge on the GRP glow plugs?

Hey Guys

What would be better a GRP 21 or 28 in my RC8T truggy. I know everyone will say 28 as its a truggy engine but to me their just not as good as a 21.

Will i still have plenty of power with a GRP 21, would also get the combo with pipe etc etc.

cjm1126 10-06-2008 05:47 AM

in the truggy i run my grp with the associated 2035 pipe, 7mm carb restrictor, and os p3 plug, it has plenty of useable power, i would imagine the .28 would just be overkill and get less fuel economy

donut92673 10-06-2008 03:27 PM

what kind of runtimes is everyone getting in there buggy and truggy with .21 promokit im struggling to get 8 minutes.i have no problem getting past this with my 2 v-specs.plus my one grp engine lost rear bearing after one gallon.any info would be great.temps are around 210.as of now i have 3 grps running two of them now and one in the box.if it doesnt get any better im going back to os.

cjm1126 10-06-2008 04:11 PM

i get around 11 in the buggy or truggy, the truggy has a bigger tank but i am on the throttle more so that kind of makes up the difference, i am not using the promo kit pipe it really seemed to hold the engine back

agressive1 10-06-2008 04:55 PM

Ok, Would i be better off going with a JX21 over the GRP 21 promo kit for my truggy.

I want to use it in my buggy as well as my truggy??

Im on an open loose/traction track
