Why is that?

We know Hyper:rolleyes:

They do still make plugs, so there may be a chance that they will make motors again. Then again, Mario Rossi did leave to another company.

The GRP factory burned down. There is a lot of controversy amongst racers of why the company burned down or what not. To make a long story short, GRP engines and parts are no longer being produced.

I know that much :) Still stuff out there though. I'm actually hoping to score another for the truck.

Oh, I thought you didn't know what happened. There are still entire engines out there. My local hobby store has two brand new in the box. The problem is, if by chance you have a rod break or something that is repairable, there are next to no parts out in the market.
That's the thing that turn so many people off from buying a GRP engine.

Does this happen after a full throttle run? I had a similar issue at the end of the straight. The cause was a rich low end with a lean top end.

it's next to impossible to find parts, but the engines are still being sold! GRP factory burned down after it closed, hence the controversy! Prolly did it for insurance money! they were kind of problematic to tune, but were great when you got it right!

How did you fix it ? How many turns should I swing for ? Thanks bud ! And yes its after the throttle is wide open and I left off for a double or whoops and I hear it run on !

Most likely you are running it to lean on the HSN.

What others call problematic is what I call precise. The GRP carb is the best out there, but takes some getting used to.

Ok ill richen it 2 hours ! What about the lsn ? Should I richen it? Or lean it out ? Thanks guys

neobart 02-28-2010 07:39 AM

Start by leaving the LSN where it is.

I'd do the same but I bet you'll end up leaning out the bottom as well (wont have any throttle response on the low end).
