hey sorry... been sleeping a lot. Sorry... thought I sent you a response. I'm a distributor, and I try and not undersell my dealers.

Contrary to what you may think, the MG66 is a Gen 5.5, just like the GX series. The difference is that the crank is modded and the sleeve is a modded 6 port. Everything else is the same, mechanically. I believe mark is working on something based on the gen 6 design as well. It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with. The new platform is absolutely insane!

Anyways, combos... most likely. Probably a 2072 combo. I'm also asking for reinforced 0801 pipes, and hard coatings instead of the chrome.

Only more power than both w/ better mileage.

Easiest way to describe it is instead of "fangs" the ports are worked so that theres more efficient flow between the ports. i.e. if there's resistance going into one port, the bypass ports are going to be more effective. outside of that, I cant say anything that wont give it away. Front intake port is worked too, all of which is a change from the current and previous generations.

I will say this- Everything on these motors is new. From the ground up. The only thing that remains the same is the bore and stroke. That said, I'm told the new P/R/S will retrofit into the GX block. I obviously havent been able to do this myself, but you can bet I'll be trying it as soon as I can!

:D Quite right Gizz. Be interesting to see how the two motors compare as far as performance and price. I get the feeling this is the factories reply to Mark's little monster.
Good for the customers to be able to have a choice though.

Don't know yet. It might come with the 2072 ? The GO factory is playing the cards on this new motor pretty close to their chests. It's looking like there will be some sort of press release around the end of December. I beleive it's in it's final testing stages now. It looks like it may be ready for distribution to dealers around March through May 2011 - no firm dates or time line yet.
The Chinese New Year is in February, which means production will cease for a whole week, which really relates to a 2 or 3 week delay as the factory shuts down completely.

Hi Matt - Hopefully through the already established GO dealer network. Should be no different to the supply of the GX's etc.

What established go net work? Not here in the U.S. The only way to get parts is trying to get one of the so called dealers to responed/come on here and see who pops up.

I've been a GO dealer since Trey became the US distributor.

I've posted several times stating that I am a GO Engine dealer.
We have 3, 5, and 7 port GX engines in stock. We have 25, and 28 Pro engines in stock. We have 5 and 7 port combos in stock.
We have every GX engine part in stock, with the exception of heat sinks.
I ran out of mixture screw o-rings this month but will be replenishing them on my order with Trey today.

Questions? email [email protected]

The Go dealer list really needs to be updated. I wish more dealers would have a website, but I can understand why they don't.

On the dealer list, Maxy's Fuels is the only listing with a link to a website and it doesn't work. It appears MotoMatt has a website, but there is no link to it on the dealer list. I might be wrong, but it appears TwistedRC now sells Alpha engines and not GO. Also, TNT Pro Hobbies seems to be DOA. And didn't Welch Racing Products move on to another brand?

When I need a part or an engine, I don't want to play phone or email tag. I don't want to have to post here and hope a dealer responds. When I need a part, it would be nice to click on a saved web link, see the part or engine and order it.

Contrary to what people who are mis informed tell you , the MG66 is a Gen 6 engine FULL STOP.
The Gen rating system , again , is something i devised to help people differentiate between the models
If you dig back about 1 year on this thread you will see that i said the MG is a gen 6 and that the Gen 6 Go engine will not be released till 2011. and yes a team of people have been involved in the design of the Go Gen 6 21 . including myself. So please please with a cherry on top stop misleading people with wroong information. Trey you know how to contact me if you need info .. this just makes people look like they dont really know their products .
