I'm having trouble finding parts for the gas .28 here:
http://www.go-engine.com/pdt_view.asp?sn=271&area=18&cat=42#

Are parts available at all? Specifically the connecting rod is my main concern.

I have two of these things and they are just fantastic.

I just want them to last as long as possible, and a rod will be needed eventually. Thanks for any help.

Hi timjs,
As you can see in my signature, we are serious GO Engine fanbois.
We have a great guy here in Oz that has plenty of GO, JS and Arrow engines and suitable spares too. PM me for contact details and I'm sure he will be able to supply you with what you need.

Hi,
After I made that post, Bellgate got in contact and I ordered two piston/sleeve/rod sets.
At this time I dont need parts for them.
However I will ask you (if you don't mind of course) if your supplier carries parts for Trackstar .28 engines, (sold by Hobbyking).
I don't need parts for it yet, but seeing as how it is a Go engine as well I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask for future reference.

Dumb question but how do I rotate the carb on this new engine so it is straight?

Is it that screw pictured or is that a crankcase screw?

Loosen the screw shown a couple turns. Tap the screw so it shoves the wedge on the other side out. Rotate the carb clockwise and it should loosen.

Hi Konstantinos, you don't say where you are located on our planet, but I can put you in touch with a great guy here in Australia that will be able to provide you with a new GO Engine or, the crankshaft if that is all you need.

Default Go 5 port gen 5

Been out of this hobby for a good few years! I don't suppose anyone has a decent Go 5 port Gen 5 for sale (silver head) loved that motor. Seen a few gx5r's on ebay may have to go for one of those.

Cheers

Yeah, those old silver heads where kick butt engines, but i'm thinking they are long gone. Amain hobbies is having a blowout price on 2 of the Alphas engines.
The Dragon ll for 138.99 and the lutz worlds for 179.99 .They are about the same as the Go engines and maybe a little better made.

Hi, guys. I just bought a Trackstar .28 and, for what I understood, it is a Go based engine. If this is right, can someone please confirm if this is running with a turbo plug? I tried to search within the thread, but there are over one thousand pages in here and I didn't find anything conclusive. Thanks

Yes, it is a Go engine. As for the glow plug, check my response in the other thread you bumped.
