Hello fellows,
Has anyone tried Klinik RC new air filter for 1/8 buggy and can give us some inputs?
It is a dry filter that are an evolution from desert racing with full scale cars. They say it will last far longer than an oiled foam filter.

I have not used it as I don't race nitro. But, I know several people that do and have switched to it and really like it. Tony Newland puts out some good stuff. You can find him on FB to connect about it.

we use them. It is a total dry set up. The trap rate is about 50-60 microns on an oiled filter system. The KLINIKRC filter traps down to .03 microns while still having maximum air flow. The synthetic membrane can be blown out from the inside and youre good to go. Maximum engine life when maintained properly as with anything else. Its a game changer, and will help save some cash along the way.

Does anyone know how this would work for the kyosho mp9 buggies? They have the huge, wide oval opening of the filter tube that connects to the stock air filter and I know it won’t fit the klinic filter itself. Does anyone know of a suitable filter tube from another brand that would work with the stock, low slung bodies the kyosho comes with without major trimming or anything?

as far as working yes they will. You will need to adapt a losi, or Ultimate boot to the klinik filter, I like the Ultimate myself just because it is a bit shorter and goes out to the side like the Kyosho, instead of forward. hope this helps

I used it for the 1st time this past weekend. The track was dusty as heck, I didnt have of build up like an oiled filter and the inside is still very clean.

We're seeing 3-5 gallons lifespan. Huge improvement in performance and savings over foam

Take a close look at the top guys cars recently They're taking over
