Default Do Picco plugs exist anymore?

Havn't seen any plugs anywhere for a while now.

I bought several Picco engines a couple years ago from Amain and AHZ and now they don't have anything to do with Picco.

If I'd known that was going to happen, I wouldn't have bought them.

Serpent USA used to carry Picco - not anymore.

RC1 never has plugs.

What am I supposed to do for plugs?

From what I understand the Werks plugs are the same. Not positive though.

i know Picco triton and werks have a number 5 plug. Wasn’t sure if there the same but I thought they might be the same. I’ve had werks triton Picco 5 they look same pretty much but wasn’t sure but thought they might be.

as far as alpha all the alpha plugs I’ve had are a different shape to them then the werks Picco triton 5 plugs so I’m pretty sure there different factory plugs. They might work in Picco but not sure but the body of them does look different.

I know some people use os p3 in picco.
I’ve used the Picco 5 plugs in a couple tritons.

Alpha plugs are not the same as any of the Italian plugs. Taiwan is a little far from Italy.

Ya don’t run lm plugs in a picco. Anything picco does better with nova plugs and O’Donnell will work from my past experience. Os werks/Orion/ SIRIO LM work together and even hudy engines as well, then you have the nova/picco kind of plug. Then the go factory which I think may work well with the nova type plug but I have no experience. I know os plugs and they don’t work with anything other then lm/werks Orion fx. Maybe picco changed in the last few years but I doubt it, the squish is probably still made for nova type plugs.

Interesting, from these descriptions it looks like Triton plugs are good for Picco engines. https://www.rcrenew.com/glow%20plugs.html

triton L4, L4v2 elite Dlc, L5, L5v2 elite dlc, those engines were built in picco factory to triton specs. Triton owner used to be a Picco engine designer.

the engines he mainly sells now I believe are LM Italy factory engines, made in werks orion performa sirio factory.
L3v2 black edition, L3 v2 evo
L5v2 black editon. L5v2 evo
Original L3 was sold at same time as the picco factory engines but was Lm factory same factory as werks orion performa sirio.

but yea it seems triton didn’t have two plugs one for each factory. They look just like picco plugs. I know I got some picco 5 and 6, werks 5 and triton 6 plugs. I’ll take some pictures of them to show they look the same.

But I used to run the picco 5 plugs in triton L5v2 elite picco factory engine and triton L3 Lm factory engine

Thank you for the info. How do you like the Triton engines? Have you also run Werks, and if so, how do they compare?

Here’s the photos of the plugs

see the alpha plug is a completely different shape then all the others so probably alpha or maybe a tawain factory making alpha plugs so definitely different factory I’d say then others. Would they work and is threads the same not sure. I’ve only used alpha plugs in alpha engines.

the picco and triton plugs look the same shape not sure if they are same filament/heat but prob same.
Werks 5 plug looks like the picco 5 plug but not sure if there same.

you can see os/samurai p3 have 2 ridges at top tip of plug different top part. But I’ve heard a bunch using os plugs in werks (werks b3pro2 actually comes with a p3 plug) I’ve seen people use os p3 in picco.

Ran triton L5 and L5v2 elite same factory as picco.
the triton picco factory ones that they don’t sell anymore ran really good easy to tune and great fuel mileage, they didn’t break in as quick but I liked them, I liked the first long needle carb better then the one with short needle with the mid speed.
Have a triton L4 but haven’t ran it. That was picco factory. triton doesn’t have picco make any of there engines anymore.

I have a triton L5v2 black edition Lm factory same factory as werks orion. Haven’t run it though.
Ran triton L3 which is same factory as werks
it ran good broke in quick, it lost compression quick but I ran it pretty hard.

i have some werks but I’ve only run one, a werks b5pro2 in buggy it was a beast, it broke in quick was pretty easy to tune, but it lost compression kinda quick, seen others say the same thing, once they lose there compression they don’t idle right, they can’t run off a light compression like a os can.

Interesting to hear you say that about the Werks. My B6 tuned and idled great for the first 1 or 2 gallons, but got more erratic the more I ran it. I got it repinched by RC Renew, so it will be interesting to see if the tunability and good idle returns.

yes they run great in beginning, then after couple gallons compression starts going away and gets erratic like you said tune goes away. My friend ran a lot them and it would happen to him a lot. I’ve heard the same thing with orion to (same factory) I’ve only run one of my werks so far so I’ll see how my next werks does.
but the newer tritons are same factory as werks so I’d say they would prob be same materials just different specs of engine. My old triton L3 same factory as werks tuned same as werks and same thing but I ran that thing pretty hard.
the performa is same factory as werks and newer tritons also but different specs but I think there using a different material in there sleeves for the performa cause everyone I’ve seen they take long time to break in and are a lot different as far as pinch and breaking in. But I’ve never run one of them.

but yea the picco factory tritons they used to sell were more like the old picco boost engines but improved. But they don’t sell them anymore.

in my Cinco engines (picco based) I run P4, but they are different I had to really crank down on the plug to get it to seal without any bubbles at the plug base....but after that all good .
