Invert Race Structure:
3 Rounds of Rocket Round Qualifying (Single Fastest Run Counts) = 5-Minutes Each
Triple A-Main Events = 5-Minutes Each
Double Lower Mains = 4-Minutes Each

8 cars will qualify directly into each main event with 2 bumps to complete the 10 car field.

If there is a 3 car lower main, they will all be put in the next main for an 11 car main.

Triple A-Main Format:
A1 - Start in qualifying order
A2 - Start in invert finishing order from A1
A3 - Start in combine finish of A1, A2 (1 point for 1st, 2 points for 2nd and so on) (lowest points start first)
(tie-breaker for A3 starting position highest single qualifying round)

Tie-breaker for finishing order will be combined time for the 2 mains used. Your worst finish is completely thrown-out.

Double Lower Main Format:
All B, C, & D-Mains will be ran as doubles and back to back. 4-Minutes each, with the winner from each main bumping to the next highest main. If you win the first main, you don’t race the second and you will start in the higher main in 9th. The winner of the second main will start in the higher main in 10th. Starting order will be the finishing order from the first main less the winner. There will be one minute in-between the two mains. No changes can be made to your car between mains. If you break in the first main a pit man can fix your car if it can be done in time for the second main.

If you have any questions about the race, please post below and Terry or I will be able to answer your questions.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to make a quick post and let everyone know who will be attending locally or from out of town what tires I used last year to TQ & Win both the 2wd Modified Buggy & Modified Truck classes. I was able to run 1 set of each per car for the entire weekend that included Saturday practice and Sunday racing.

2wd Modified Buggy - 2.2 Tires & Wheels
Front Tires: AKA Typo's in Clay Compound (Pin-Stripes pushed too much)
Front Foam: AKA Red Foam
Rear Tires: AKA Chain-links in Clay Compound
Rear Foam: AKA Red Foam

Modified Truck
Front Tires: AKA Typo's in Clay Compound
Front Foam: AKA Red Foam
Rear Tires: AKA Typo's in Clay Compound
Rear Foam: AKA Red Foam

I know other drivers also had good success with J-Concepts Dirt Webs in Gold Compound.

Hopefully this helps everyone out,
JP

Track just got changed at CGRC, the next track change will be the weekend before the Invert. Get your plans set and let's make this bigger than last year.

I was just wondering if there is any thought to running 13.5 4WD Buggy? I can run either or but would rather run 13.5.

There has been a lot of talk about forming a 13.5 4wd class....

The problem in adding more classes is the awards. Going to keep it to the classes that are listed.

Do you have a rough estimate of when it will be over on sunday? Judging by the turn out from last year.

Based on 90 entries and 3 min between each heat and main with a little extra time for main setup I would say 8 hours on Sunday. Starting at 9am should be done with the las main at 5pm
