What format did you guys end up using?

We used a supercross format for both classes. Open buggy and open truck.

There were 24 buggies and 10 trucks.

The buggies were broken up into 4 heats of 6 to qualify your fastest 3 laps. This then seeded you in the semis. 3 heats of 8 raced with top 2 going straight to the main. The final 18 were divided into 2 LCQ's of 9 and each raced with the winner going to the main.

The main was ran last with 8 buggies.

It was a blast!!!

I think they might be able to use the ladder system for 1/8th scale nitro to speed up the sorting process. 1/4 mains and 1/2 mains etc.

Either way even though there were some 20 minutes breaks to sort and create the mains it was a lot of fun and we were done by 10:45pm.

I always forget those are up there and then they get cleared out by the next days' races before I look - the problem with a track that races 4 or 5 days a week...

Sorry raz, we generally post every thing on Facebook. I know some people don't use Facebook. Our web guy isn't around much so changes to our calendar don't get done.
