Clackamas R/C Hobbies & Raceway
#91
Hello everyone, I just wanted to get some information out to everyone that has concerns on the schedule of Clackamas R/C Hobbies & Raceway.
I want to make it clear that I am just a volunteer of track and have no authority for making the hours of operation for the the business.
I have talked with jackie and the reason she has the schedule in current time frame is to maintain her hours at her current job.
Here is the weekly schedule for the owners:
They work Sunday, Monday, Wednesday at there day job.
They working at the hobby shop Tues, Thursday, Friday.
They race at Daves rc Track On Saturday.
Her days that see is at work she at this time cannot have races on these days Sunday, Wednesday, Monday and saturday at this time.
That leaves them with Tuesdays, Thursday, Friday for race days at this time.
If and when they get someone to man the shop Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday they might be able to adjust the there Hours and race times.
Again I have choosen to help the Altig family and will devote what ever time and energy that I have to them. They have always been wonder people with amazing hearts. The have taken huge a leap of faith here and put them selves on the line. Not for money or fame, but in service to the people that enjoy this hobby.
I live down in salem and cannot always make it up to track for racing. I will be helping all I can with what ever I can offer. So far I have saved them a good amount money by setting them up with my Decoder, Amp, and getting some great deals on a computer for them. I started there facebook page and have now have Shaun brown and lyle working on it as well. I will also be helping by volunteering at the shop during weekends when I can and helping with track changes and R/D.
Its really hard for to make it there during the week and even on the busy weekends. I am currently a stay at home dad and take care of my two daughters and I will be going back to work full time in the future to support my family. So driving from salem to Clackamas will not always be possible for me. Friday it took me 2 hours to get to track, traffic was terrible.
I would not offer my time to just any track or shop, I offer it to them because of the service to others mentallity that that the altigs have and there devotion and customer service. The are creating a place that is pleasent, safe (drug free) and built from there hearts.
Thank you,
Mike Hudson

I'm bringing stock and mod buggy in case we can get both classes going ...
Any chance the 3-wire transponders will be working that night?

A little focus on cleaner language would be also be great. Not expecting perfection ...
