THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT PBR HOBBIES IN GRANTS PASS, OREGON ON SUNDAY APRIL 27, 2014

SIGN UP ASAP TO SECURE YOUR TEAM'S SPOT! WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING THE FIRST 10 TEAMS TO SIGN UP.


RACE INFO:
THE 4HR ENDURANCE RACE WILL START AT NOON AND END AT 4PM
TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF 3 OR 4 RACERS
EACH TEAM MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO RACE A MINIMUM OF 30 MINS
TEAMS MAY SWITCH DRIVERS AT ANY POINT THROUGH OUT THE RACE

REGISTRATION:
TEAMS CAN REGISTER STARTING TUESDAY FEBRUARY 25TH, 2014
ENTRY FEE WILL BE $100 PER TEAM
$25 REQUIRED TO HOLD YOUR TEAM'S SPOT (NON REFUNDABLE)
TEAMS NEED TO SUBMIT THEIR TEAM NAME, TEAM CAPTAIN NAME, AND DRIVERS' NAMES TO ADAM BARTLE (BARTLJUICE)
$100 BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY APRIL 6, 2014

(PAYOUT IS BASED ON A 10 TEAM RACE. PAYOUT WILL BE ADJUSTED DEPENDING ON HOW MANY TEAMS ENTER.)

TURN MARSHAL:
EACH TEAM WILL HAVE A DESIGNATED TURN MARSHAL SPOT ON THE TRACK. WE WILL DRAW FOR TURN MARSHAL SPOTS THE DAY OF THE RACE.
YOU MUST HAVE A MARSHAL AT YOUR DESIGNATED SPOT AT ALL TIMES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
YOUR MARSHAL CANNOT GO DIRECTLY FROM MARSHAL TO DRIVER.
LAPS WILL BE DEDUCTED, IF YOUR TEAM MARSHAL SPOT IS LEFT UNATTENDED. TEAMS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THEIR DESIGNATED SPOT IS LEFT UNATTENDED FOR TOO LONG


BUGGY RULES:
2WD BUGGY- REAR OR MID MOTOR IS FINE, THOUGH REAR MOTOR IS RECOMMEND!
THIS IS AN OPEN BUGGY RACE WITH NO MOTOR LIMITS. HOWEVER, KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A 4 HOUR RACE SO CHOOSING THE RIGHT SETUP FOR YOUR CAR IS IMPORTNAT.
2S LIPO ONLY
BATTERY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ROAR LEGAL BUT DOES NEED TO BE A HARDCASE LIPO DUE TO SAFETY
MOTOR DOES NOT NEED TO BE ROAR LEGAL
NO SPEC TIRES ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS RACE.
SUGGESTIONS FOR TIRE CHOICE WOULD BE A SOFT COMPOUND BARCODE OR A SOFT/SUPER SOFT HOLESHOT
BRING A FEW TIRE CHOICES AND SEE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR TEAM. REMEMBER, TRACK CONDITIONS WILL CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE 4HR RACE.
YOU MAY ONLY USE ONE BUGGY FOR THIS RACE
BUGGY CHASSIS WILL BE TAGGED UPON ARRIVAL AND YOU MUST USE THAT CHASSIS FOR THE WHOLE RACE
EVERY OTHER PART CAN BE REPLACED.....ARMS, SHOCK TOWERS, DIFFS, WHEELS, TIRES, MOTOR/ESC, ETC.


DOORS WILL OPEN AT 10AM (MAYBE EARLIER DEPENDING ON OUR TURNOUT)
PRACTICE WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 10AM TO 11AM
WE WILL THEN HAVE A QUICK RACERS MEETING AND FOLLOW WITH A 10 MIN HOT LAP SESSION TO DECIDE WHERE THE TEAMS START
FASTEST LAP WILL DECIDE WHERE YOUR TEAM STARTS IN THE RACE (THOUGH IN AN ENDURANCE RACE IT'S NOT A HUGE DEAL WHERE YOU START)

TRACK USES A MYLAPS AMB DECODER
EACH TEAM MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPONDER
A BACK-UP TRANSPONDER WILL ALSO NEED TO BE CHECKED IN PRIOR TO THE RACE STARTING

With an event like this it brings up some questions about battery safety and body attachment method. As in any other sanctioned race dragging a battery, trans, ESC ect is going to get you a black flag to return to the pits and fix it. Body needs to be secured in such a manner that it stays in place. If you choose Velcro fine, just make sure it stays .

I am sad cause it changed from 17.5 blinky when we was discussing it to open. But I got over it quickly :P Now to get a team together and maybe 2 more 7200mah batteries

Trust me.... there was many conversations about open vs spec! In the end, I believe open made a little more sense. Its a endurance race, and to make it a full 4hrs is the battle, not horsepower. No mod setup geared for power will run 4hrs. Im gonna test n tune with my spec motor and my mod. Try different gearings and motor combos. Im leaning towards my spec, and I think its great to at least have the option to run what you have and do your best to make it thru the race. We want this to be fun, and not to over powering with rules. I believe we will have a great turn out and a awesome race!! Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
