Default Done Deal

Yes it is a done deal. We are in..... Today was the first work party day.. We got a lot done today. Tomorrow we are working on the the track and I am driving up to Eatonville to get a clay sample from Lynch Creek Quarry than I am driving to Sumner to Wallraft Trucking to get a sample of his clay. Both places have clay that has been cleaned and siffted. We are looking to be up and running by end of February. Should have dirt in building by end of January. I hope everyone that went to Mikes had a great time. Maybe we can have a ECT round in Bremerton soon.

Yes but the beauty of it is there is no rent, since we're on private land the only cost of us being there really is power. You should ask Thom sometime what it costs just to keep the doors open, he'll laugh at you. It's a tough business for sure.

That 4-season sign is hurting ...

Make a nice big SC-10 painted like Scott's and mount it on top .

Cheap & good way to get some attention .....

Default Getting there

The building is getting there. Will have new pic's soon. I think that 4 seasons is not that far out.
I am comming from the motorcycle business and all the MX tracks are way out of the way.
I had never gone to 4 seasons befor TRCR went down and I think it is a great place.
Your right about rent, it can make you or break you.

Thats why I think you have to get into the business for the love of the hobby with the mindset to be happy if you just break even. It almost has to be a secondary income. But if you have the right attitude and mindset all the hard work can be very rewarding seeing all the people enjoy and share in the excitement of the hobby you love so much! This isn't directed towards you 23 just commenting.

I'm super stoked to see the facility!

Has a decision been made on the clay? If so what was the deciding factor in the type of clay you chose?

I've already worked at a failed hobby shop, went down due to poor decisions/money management, and bad service from an (unamed) owner.

Good luck to you sir, and I can't wait to check it out...Field Trip!

But maybe you could hybrid them to make the best of both worlds? Large flat tables like TRCR, but a high/small shelf running down the center? The shelves at FR are too low to the tables... can't even get a small toolbox under there.
We do have the best of both worlds, we have both shelved and non shelved tables I'll talk to Gary and see what he thinks about raising the shelves, he likes projects like that (look how long it took him to raise the drivers stand) (1 week for those that didn't know)
