Haha, Les kicked me out. I only ran for about a minute

Thanks Jeff, I'll be sure to come down from time to time. There is an off road track up here that looks cool. Looks like I'll be running a lot of 2wd and 2wd buggy

Crazy questoin, but how do you get a silver can motor to fit in a TC3? Have to drill the motor mount?

For Wednesday night 1/12th scalers...

Is there an interest in moving to 13.5 once the carpet goes down? Having driven stock on both the rug and the asphalt, I think the extra power would be nice. Unfortunately, there isn't an agreed 13.5 brushed equivalent: 27t is definitely slower, and 19t is definitely faster. I've driven 23t with 13.5 sedans and thought it was nearly dead even, but it's not a widely used motor (not that it couldn't be...Brood sells them.)

Anyway, thoughts?

Yes, but I'm new to 1/12 scale so what's the recommened rollout (is that what's it called?) for a 17.5 motor? I'll be there tomorrow to race so any help would be appreciated

13.5 sounds good to me....I plan on running 12th when the carpet goes in...but I will not be running any motor slower than a 13.5

I will come down and run 12 a few times...but not with a 17.5, 13.5 or 19T is good there.

New to 1/12th scale...

I heard you were at the track running your new BMI and that you were laying down some pretty sharp laps. I can't wait to see you there for real. 50 laps, JayBee! It can be done, I think. We need 20 9.9's and thirty 10.0's. One mistake and it's over.

Patrick is looking pretty good these days, and he's in the high 80's, even 90ish on rollout. Maybe DuTemple will chime in. You gear them tall, I know that.

Anyway, unless there's a major revolt in the next two weeks, I would like to finish the asphalt running stock. Hopefully that doesn't turn people off, but we've been running that and our skills have come up without crucifying our cars in the process. Absent one or three broken T-bars, of course.

I'm not saying he's ready for 13.5, but he could at least race Doug.
