Well after a succesful day at the track here is what we found for all you out of towners:
Track is SUPER DIALED!!! stayed together very well. It wasn't no 250 cars running on it, but it gave us a really good idea as to what to expect.
As for tire choice we found that alot of different tires seemed to work well. we ran it wet(damp) and we ran it dry and it seemed that people were all running a little somthing different and they seemed to like it all. I am sure that once we get qualifying running on Saturday a promanent tire will appear, but we didn't get enough run time today to figure that out. Remember this is new dirt to us that was mixed in to the existing dirt, so it was curious to see what it would do. Tire wear also seemed to be good as well. I know 1/8 buggy holeshots seemed to hold up well over the course of several tanks, so that is good news for those of us that don't have cash to pony up for a new set every run!! lol
It may even start to take rubber during practice on Friday. we shall see.
We did a few hours of finishing touches to the track as well. laid the last of the pipe, made some of the jumps more consistent, and also finished pit lane. There is a VAST improvment to Pit lane from last year, so im sure everyone will be pleased with that!!
It was about 90* out today. so the track seemed to dry up pretty quick. still thinking about watering in between each heat for qualifying. During practice on Friday we can do some more water testing to determine what is going to be best.
I hope everyone is as STOKED as I am for the 2008 Hank Perry 240, because it is going to be a great race!!
see you all in a week!!!!!!

speaking of the best Hanks ever...
I happened to be wearing the 2003 "flamming-homosexual, devil-worshiper, nutt-tucken RC devil" (better know as the "Raising Hell") Hank T-shirt today.
It simply HAS to be the best race T-Shirt ever! And mine is mint too. Who new that artwork would become a classic! If you don't own one; sorry about your luck.

Perfect! As long as it stays 30% or lower chance of rain. The temps looks good

In Spokane, the only time you got to worry about rain (or amount of) is if its 70% or greater.
