YES, it will be on carpet from Darrens track. On the question of tires. Rubber or Foam I don't care.
I must say that I'm somewhat disappointed at the lack of response to this event. This is the second time we have been asked to put on a race for the hobby show. Last year the space was to small, this year it larger like we asked for. It's an opportunity for us all to go have fun YES FUN and show the rest of the hobby world how much fun on-road racing can be.
It's a chance for all of us to help grow interest in the ever shrinking race scene in the N.W. area. I would like to ask that you guy's put aside your personal differences and come out for a good time and help make this race a success. Besides how often do we race in front of the public for people who have never seen an actual race before. It's your time to show your stuff.
Monroe is a racing town with the speedway right there. come on guys sign up already.

should be down there like friday or saturday to get the body and tires...

also how are the pits gonna be? bring your own table and chairs?

lets get a roll call, it is sounding like the trans am class is what will draw the people in and most likely be what would get them into the hobby, lets make it big and fun!

MORE NEWS!

We thought we would get the juices flowing a little so this is what we came up with...

For ever person that races the show will put $5 in a pool. The money collected will get paid out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places of each class. Hope this sounds good for every one... I think the money will get split up in percentages depending on class size.

1st will get 50%
2nd will get 30%
3rd will get 20%

Next we have the figure 8 race...

This will take place after all other racing is done on Sunday.

Here is how it will go...

The entry fee for the 8 will be $5 a car. The money will go in a pool and first place takes 50% of the money. More details on this will be at the show. Like how the heats will run, classes and what not…

If I am total messed up on some of this stuff please let me know... I have never thought or done any of this stuff before so please bear with me!

Hope this sparks some interest guys!

Quick question: What time does the track open on Saturday, and when would racing start? Thinking about signing up for stock sedan rubber for Saturday.
