B6D, you want the flat arms/tower along with ball diff for clay.

you can always pick up a laydown transmission to put in the car cheaper then getting the ball diff and other parts needed to convert the B6 kit over to run on clay.

Just bought a b5m, does anyone know where I can find a base setup sheet that will get me heading in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Default Set up

For 17.5 I would get a 69 spur and use between a 30-33 pinion dependent on motor and timing.
I would start out with the car in factory set up with white springs all around. This seemed to be a good starting point for me .

Thanks for the info. I hope to get it up and running in the next week or two.

Tuesday nights are awesome. 4 heats and double mains are a great way to learn a new car. Track has been great. B6/B6D/B6D w/laydown all made great runs last night. There is no other track where the 3 different configurations can run so close to each other.

Default Fun night

Returned to IRH on Tuesday night after racing 1/8 scale for the past four months. Great time, 4 qualifiers and double A mains. Lots of track time. Can't ask for more than that. Thanks to Mike D., Enoc and Carl for all the help getting me up to speed in 17.5. Really fun night. Curt
