I may be the only one that has tried all three available slicks for short course at Island. Primes do get the most the traction. If you see me running my Jconcept Smoothies I am sacrificing some traction to have lower rotating mass.

Guys , I have 50 sets of green and 50 sets of blue barcodes that we will never run or sell at our track since we run super soft slicks only. I also have 50 sets of M4 suburbs which when sanded into slicks are the same or similar to Primes. barcode green are also great when sanded into slicks.

$5 per set first come first serve. Thats $10 for a full set of tires.

The summer schedule will be posted tomorrow on a flyer during the Friday night worlds.

June 26th- the Summer Sizzler trophy race is Sunday June 26th - doors open at 6am, racing begins at 9am.


July 15th-August 19th: IRH Summer Etiquette Point Series.
Fridays and Sundays will count to accommodate racers schedules.
Everyone must attend the final race day, or points will be deducted. Race rules to be announced next week. The winners will be awarded a plaque plus $100-1st, $75-2nd and $50-3rd in an IRH gift certificate for each podium position in each class. Winners of more than one class will receive a additional $100 gift certificate. Several other awards will be given out and include compensation for the Best Etiquette, Worst Etiquette, MVP award, best comeback, craziest racer, Most helpful racer, Best pass, Best wheelie, fastest lap time, any additional suggestions are welcome. A class act BBQ will host the final award day including steak, chicken, shrimp and salads.

July 16th - Saturday July 16th is the IRH R/C flea market. Cars, boats, planes, drones, anything R/C. Get out all that old vintage R/C stuff and turn it into cash. Fee is $10 to enter for sellers, free for buyers.

Saturday August 20th: The IRH 12 hours of slash for cash race. Teams of 5 will be given a new stock spec slash and 3 lipo batteries. The body is clear and needs to be cut out and painted. Slash/3 batteries and Dinner (BBQ) are included, Winning team gets to design the next layout (with Don's approval), plus cash prizes and trophy's. Several race events will take place during the 12 hours such as (1) obstacle course (2) night driving (3)single fastest lap in reverse (4) Driver faces away from track while team mate directs him left/right/fast/slow, etc. And an award for best paint job.$500 per team to enter. Maximum 6 people per team.

Monday closed
Tuesday 2-11pm racing begins at 7pm
Wednesday 2-9pm
Thursday 2-9pm
Friday 2-12 racing begins at 7pm
Saturday 12-5pm

These are the typical hours. I believe there is sometimes variation in the Saturday schedule as birthday parties are sometimes held.

There was a hand written sign on the door saying closed on Thursday. Some people like me don't live close, 45 min. ride without traffic.

Yeah that sucks. Unfortunately I can't speak to why the track was closed. I'm just a patron there, not an employee so I'm only stating the hours I know to be current.
