For running a Traxxas slash, is there a recommended motor size? Or is it a run what you bring type thing? I have a spare hobbywing quicrun 3650 17.5 from my B5m but not sure if that would be suitable.

If your new to this track there is a Sportsman class that is a "Run What you Bring". A 17.5 motor is great for this track. They have a SC 17.5 class so your on the right track.. (no pun intended)

Thanks, Phil. It's set to the assembly instruction recommendations, so I am sure it could use a degree of something here and a degree of something else there. Can't wait 'til tonight! See you later - thanks for the assistance offer. I may need it!

Default Tekin GEN 3 Redline 17.5

Hi guys,

Does anyone run this motor and if so what are your thoughts on its performance. Also is this motor ROAR approved for races?

Thanks

Default pinion size?

Was wondering what pinion size i should run for a 22 2.0 with 17.5 motor and 70 tooth spur gear. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I would start at 29 and adjust according to how you run from there.

They are ROAR approved. I run the RPM version in 17.5 buggy and the regular one in SCT. The buggy is strong. I like it a lot. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot in gearing and timing for the regular version I'm using in SCT.

I thought the RPM version was for on road only. Also would I be able to run the RPM version in the 17.5 blinky mode class?

Thanks
