After speaking with several experienced racers regarding the traction we will make some additions to the dirt/clay mix. Although we believe the traction to be good we all agree we'd like to see it better like some of the out of state tracks using red clay and river bed silt/clay. I will be purchasing 30 tons of 100% clay from our supplier to be rototilled into our existing 60/40 clay/topsoil mix for the next layout. Anthony Mazzarra has completed the new layout design and will be in charge of implimenting the new layout and the dirt modifications. We don't know what to expect at this time but this is a large additioncof straight clay and should dramatically improve the traction. We will also be keeping the track wetter than our normal regiment which should also improve traction.
thats awesome don.

more traction? what do you expect to run slicks or something? track was awesome tonight. a sweep and a light mist is all it needs. Mario and Nick keep it up.

RCExcitement, Elwood Hobby, Xtreme Hobby, Critters and Gilligans all have gentlemans agreements with IRH that they check with me prior to posting on MY (IRH) thread. Todd Anderson, owner of RCExcitement asks me every single time he wants to post anything including his races, which we always promote because he is not in our market and is a close friend and helped get IRh started in this business.

Charlie is a close personal friend and has also made a gentlemen’s agreement with me that he will not solicit anyone at IRH to run at his track other than previous friends like Nick(B4), Richie, Gaetano, Doug and Mario to name just a few. I have no problem with my good friend Charlie running with his friends at his home track outside of our normal business hours and he agrees, but promoting and soliciting using my thread or my facility in Lindenhurst crosses the line. DO IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL BE BANNED PERMANENTLY.

IRH is a business and is just getting by right now. We need every customer we have to keep this place going. It will take several years to pay back the initial capital investment, over $100,000 to open IRH. Even the loss of a few hundred dollars on a Saturday because people are instead planning to run at Charlie’s on Saturday night makes a difference.

I INVITE ALL OF MY LOYAL IRH CUSTOMERS TO POST YOUR COMMENTS.

I'm sure many customers would be very upset if I closed IRH because we were losing $1000 every month and that was the difference between keeping the doors open or shutting them forever, not to mention Mario's Job and Neighbor Bills hard work helping build this facility and his top notch announcing, a job that he loves. Many people put a ton of effort and sweat into helping me create this home for their racing. Don't put it in jeopardy.

In the future THINK before you post.

It’s funny, I thought you really enjoyed racing at IRH last week, why would you want to jeopardize its survival.

Take down your post or I will have the RC tech moderator remove it.

Support the tracks you race at. Buy from them. If they close up you will have no place close to race. Do you think A main or Tower is going to open a track for you!

Agreed, we've seen many tracks pack it in. I always make it a point to buy something at every track I travel to, even if it's wire, tires, motor or esc, we gotta support all of our favorite tracks. Buying soda and chips doesnt pay the rent ( a quote from BIR hobby shop back in the day)

That is an important point. I race at 2 tracks that dont have hobby stores. It sucks not being able to go get a spur gear or pinion or paint. I do a lot of traveling to many tracks and if they have a shop make i make sure i spend some cash there. I dont know Don but he went all in on this place so all should just appreciate it. After the Vegas onroad race i'm going to i'll be sure to do some offroad. I have a nice 22 that needs to see some dirt.
