Fridays would definitely be better than Wednesdays, but it's still a 2 hour drive, probably couldn't get there before 7:00 coming from work.

All 1/10 electric is Thursday nights, unless it's the winter, then Sunday as well. As for trophy races, we have one on the 18th, but it'll be outdoors (weather providing), so expect mainly 1/8th scale and some short course. The event to make it to is our JConcepts race in September (18-19). It'll be an indoor event with some big names like Paul Sinclair and Brian Kinwald in attendance. More info here.

There is no offroad racing on friday currently, but that may be an idea which is tossed around between ONROAD starting or Offroad indoor on Fridays also. I assume you guys would join us if we were able to do offroad on Fridays? The thought was 3 straight up races (no IFMAR qualifying) - Old School.
Pete I meant the 14th.

So how would you determine starting order?

You still have a placement and overall finishing time. That is used for the MAIN.

Sometimes its just nice to have straight up battles when its a short night with one less qualifier. Straight racing for club nights. We've done it before.

RC Scoring pro starts the first round however your signed in (random), after that, each round you start how you finished the previous round, the mains are sorted by your rocket round.

So I guess one shouldn't expect many Mass guys at Vintage Nats then, eh?

Based on the thread Freddy started......there's only about 3 locals interested anyway.

Im so torn since the dates are the same. I will support vintage because I wait all year for it ! And good chance to run the old stuff with everyone else ! It would be nice for the dates to be offset, oh well

Didn't realize the dates conflicted, I'll be at the RCE for that weekend, been excited for the race since it was announced. Good luck with the vintage race though.

I know Matt, I started the thread in the racing forums to spark some interest, but its tucked away in the third or fourth page, we gotta keep it in the front of the racing forums.

Last year at least three guys told me they found out about the race through the racing forums thread...

I raced competitively last friday. I think it was my first win outdoors this season. Proctor thermalled and didn't have enough time to catch up. He usually wins every week.

Just doing some outdoor racing. Weekends are hard for me do to my work schedule. Looked and the vintage race is the only trophy race weekend I have off but already booked for a wedding.

So that means its either indoors on a Wednesday night or outdoors on Friday night. Sorry but I am going to enjoy the nice weather while we have it.

Default Bad News

OK guys I'm getting out of offroad for a while, I'm not having fun anymore...

I have abunch of stuff for sale, very cheap, RB5 SP Roller $75, Lazer ZX5 SP roller $100, OFNA Hyper 10SC 4wd roller $150 (with brand new calibers all around)

2 Servos, 3 ESCs, 2 lipo batteries, 5 motors, all for really low $$. PM me if you're interested.

I want to get back into 1/12 pan car to keep the costs down and to re-hash the good times I had a few years ago at Lester's indoor carpet track...

Maybe if Mark and John's asphalt racing picks up I'll grab one of whatever they decide on running, but as it is right now, I'm just gonna stick with pan car.
