Eric, there is definitely a setup and a tire that works for that truck if you change your mind...all the guys with the T5's have been on pace and very competitive lately.

I raced a few times out by you guys ( NY'er here) quite awhile ago. Getting back into racing after some time with planes ( still flying...just got the itch to race again). Just wondering if the 4WD short course class is something that gets run all the time ? Also, what is the most popular class ?

rcguy1958 i havent been racing a lot lately but from what ive seen theres still a 4wdsc class just not as big as it was a few years back i think 17.5 2wd buggy is probably the most popular right now

It is not a class that usually has a class during club racing, but we usually get enough guys during trophy races. We can always count on 2wd buddy, stadium truck, and usually 2wd short course. When winter comes you can usually add 4wd buggy to that list as well

Everybody I have seen run mod motors. Just not enough people in the class yet to split it between stock and mod. I think it will pick up and we may be able to run both but not yet

I think I'm going to run 17.5 buggy. I haven't driven an R/C car in 4 years, I don't want to be slowing anyone down while I get back up to speed. Thanks Rob. It'll be about 5 or 6 weeks before I get my car and electronics, just wanted to feel out what was the situation at the track.

17.5 is a great choice, there are even some guys at the track who run faster times in 17.5 than many mod guys. The track is very well suited for it. They are having a trophy race next Sunday, come down and get a feel for what you want to run! Everyone is real nice down there if you have any questions

17.5 is a good choice, on the RCHR track you can run 17.5 in MOD and still be competitive.

next sunday is out for me as I'm stuck working, but I do know how friendly everyone can be from my previous experience there, but I will be stopping down very soon because I want to see the new layout and also get a feel for what everyone is running.

Truck is at the shop if anyone wants to look at it. It has electronics in it but I"m selling it as a roller.

RACING RESUMES TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

A bunch of guys were down for some practice and were running holeshots at first. By the time I got to go out, I tried fresh blue barcodes on my 17.5 buggy and it was pretty good. By the mains tomorrow should be good for electrons barcodes dirt webs etc.

Track is fun guys.. hope everyone can make it down!

Is that the indoor track or the outdoor?
