For those of you running a Tekin RS or RSPro there’s a new version of the Hotwire software that you can use. It’s version 9.5 and opens up some new brake and throttle options on the RS and RSPro speedos.

Information directly from the president of Tekin: http://www.rctech.net/forum/12060478-post329.html

Kind of a changing of the guard moment. You can do it Joe, small steps at first.

We were dizzy at first but slowly came back to, when he re-emerged on the track with the "Shoe Goo" special.

Ok guys there may be a few changes in some of the electronics that I’m running in the near future so I thought I would give my local rc family first dibbs on my used equipment.. I have 2 orion r10 160 amp esc’s that I will part with for $120 each. These escs are in great shape and have never given me a single issue.. I also have a a ready sonic 8.5 that I will sell for $45, a orion vst 7.5 with very little time on it, that I will sell for $50.. a great tekin 8.5 with a big rotor and a high rpm and stock rotor for $45 and a brand new in package lrp 13mm works team sintered rotor for a x12 part #50638 that I will let go for $25. This rotor works great in a 9.5. I someone is interested in more then one item at a time we may be able to work out a little better price. Also I have another vst 8.5 for 45 and another vst 7.5 for 45.. Its all going so please pm me with realistic offers.. cash and paypal only NO TRADES..
I disassemble all my motors after 3 racedays and clean and maintain them meticulously. Everything works great and is very reliable. MY esc’s are also well maintained and cleaned frequently.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to send anyone into shock or anything! LOL

It'll take me a while to cut the windows out of this one & fill it with shoo goo - so It will be a couple of weeks until the Novak Special takes the track! LOL

Do you guys balance charge your packs every time you charge them? I balance my packs every time I charge them. I had a discussion at the track with two people on Saturday, one has never balanced their packs and the other said they only do it every once in a while. It was also said that balance charging every time will weaken the pack, first time I've ever heard that. Most of the things I've read said that balancing charging every time isn't required but it won't hurt the pack to balance them every time.

Just looking for opinions.

I balance every time. I've even balanced packs for those who claimed to never balance before. Surprisingly, they're usually fairly balanced (maybe a tenth or 2 off).

Balancing won't hurt them, neither will charging them unbalanced. Worst thing you can do to a LiPo is run it low. I usually break my packs in pretty easy (no more than 8min for the first 4 charges or so), and I NEVER run to cutoff. After 1-1.5 years or so, you can start to feel the punch fade in a main though.
