Sorry about that I didn't realize you were dealing with Joe. I was skipping around the posts. I thought Joe was putting it out there.

hey guys just wondering if you have any ideas what can be wrong with my little brothers ft b4.1 i rubuilt the whole diff put a new idler gear in, a new top shaft, and a new main diff gear, brand new ceramic bearings and a new motor and esc new spur and pinion and it is still making a really weird grinding noise when i hold the thorottle on for a little while and when i let the thorottle off. Do you have any ideas what this can be.

diff is too loose. tighten the diff all the way, then back it off 1/16th. you should be goods after that.

Are you sure it's not the motor? Make sure the wing-mount screw isn't sunk too deep......it'll go through the gearbox and hit the backside of the inner slipper plate if you're not careful.

Do u have a sensor Wire connected? Sounds like cogging, but hard to tell from description

Is this noise while you are just pinning it in the air?
