It's not really needed as the fuel tank has a filter built in. I haven't used one in years. It's really just a personal choice depending on your race habits and environment.

The radio will be fine for you, no problem at all. No you do not need or want an RPM sensor.

Any stick 2s stick Rx pack will fit. Either Lipo or Life depending upon if you are using HV or regular 6v servos. Personally I use Reedy or LRP in my 1/8 cars.

Personally yes you should run a filter between the tank and carb. In my experience the inline filter has also caught debris. It's inexpensive and worth using.

One of these is a LiFe battery but if you use HV servos, any of the others (LiPo will be better due to their higher capacity)
These are all from AMain hobbies. If you are planning to place an order from RC Target, they will likely have receiver batteries as well.
Make sure you have a LiPo safe battery charger as well as you don't want to risk destroying your battery.
