Has anybody here tried to modify the FW05 to run a centre diff like they do in offroad buggies? A friend of mine who races offroad thinks it would make the car easier to drive. It would be fun to try it.

No way that will work, you need all the traction you can get with the FW-05RR. You don't want the front to spin with the rear blocking !
Een with thick oil or anyting, I don't see any benefid.

Its just an experiment, Lots off people also said that the TCD rear diff in the FW05 was no good but I gave it a go and it seems good. Also, nice 4 stroke FW05RR Snoebel.. Do you think that 2 stoke muffler suits a 4 stroke engine or will a hot-dog style pipe would be better.

Ok, always fun to see people trying all kinds of things
Muffler for my 4 stroke, jus have it running a couple of weeks. I'm more struggling with the carb at the moment, then looking at a different muffler.
But I do know that without it, the engine is a bit faster.
Now using the original Kyosho 4 stroke muffler.
What is a "hot-dog" style muffler ?

What we call a “hot-dog” muffler in Australia is basically a straight through muffler with some sort of packing to muffle the noise. Same as a straight through muffler used on motorcycles.

I read a few posts on the 05RR thread about burning out throttle servos. Has anyone here experienced this problem? I have blown 2 servos and cant figure out why. There fix was to shim the servo up higher off the chassis away from the heat. Any ideas would be appreciated. My radio is adj. correctly so the throttle isn't over extending. Running the car for two seasons and never had this problem till this past month.
