im using a sanwa vr for steering but if i mount it as stated in the manual, it'll still touch the lower part of the belt. i also did what the rest has done by securing the steering tie-rod on the top side of servo-saver.

I noticed in one of your pictures that you used Futaba 9451 servos. Do you still have the problems with the servo saver having to be reversed? Also, did you have a problem fitting the plastic servo saver piece (the black piece that came with the kit) onto the shaft of the servo? I had to force mine on. I'm asking because I just bought two of those servos.

How do you like the servo? They seem to be nice servos. I'm still not sure why they are a little cheaper than the 9450.

How much of the front bumper needs to be trimmed to allow the body to sit correctly? I took a dremel to mine, yet the stratus 2.1 body still does not line up correctly. looks like I need to take quite a bit off still. I did not have this problem with my Impulse Streetspec.

I'm using S9451 servo and YES i have to place the mount reverse. I did try placing as per the instruction but when you move the servo either to the right or left, it will hit the belt. I did not have problem having the placement reverse. But i do have to shave just a tad on the ball-joint so as i could fit into the ball.

Also, i did not have problem with that lil black plastic into the shaft of the servo. Make sure u use the right one. Mine fit perfectly with slight tightness.

hmmm..... i did not trim my bumper, nor a couple of 705 dude here to use the protoform stratus 2.1 body.

No, I did not have any problems mounting the 9451 servos. Yes, I had to mount the servo saver upside down like in the picture I have attached earlier... BTW, the 9450 has the same casing as the 9451...

As for the servo saver piece (adaptor), it comes with 3 pieces in the kit for different types of servos. Only use the one meant for Futaba if you're using Futaba servos... I initially had difficulty when I installed mine and later on I found out that there were slight burrs on mine because I forced it onto the servo shaft when the angle was not perpendicular.

Ummm, the reason why the 9450 is more expensive is because at the time when it came out, it was one of the very few digital servos out there. Digital servos were a lot more expensive at that time than analog types. I believe the 9451 is an upgraded version of the 9450 and whatever R&D cost of developing the 9450 (and 9451) has probably been partially subsidised already and since Futaba probably has not updated the pricing for the older 9450 servos, it remains more expensive than the 9451. I also heard that in Japan (even though the servos are made in Taiwan), there's deflation in their currency. Just my 2 cents...

Anyway, has anybody noticed that the newer 9451 servos are more smooth than the older 9450 ones? The movement of the 9451 servos when not powered are as smooth as the KO 2143 and 2144 servos...

I always have my clutch spring on my Impulse Pro broken within few running (4 times at most). I have changed the clutch shoe, since I thought it maybe the problem, but the problem persist. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Try the Mugen springs and also make sure you have them in the grove of the flywheel nut!!
