Try running a few tanks on idle and then a few at low throttle or josh cyrul has a breaking in method i have seen somewhere although it looks pretty harsh for the motor.
I run a sirio 3 p and it seems to run best with 16-20 % nitro and less oil content than what you would usually use, i found it ran alot better with less but don't go to far or you will end up breaking it lol but i use 5 and 2 i think most are like 8 or 10 and 4. |

It can't do that much harm i have had my engine running perfectly for nearly a year even in a 1 hour final didn't skip a beat but maybe it's the aussie humidity

Can you guys give me a step by step approach on how I can break in my engine for long life? I'm getting confused. Thanks!

there's a break in tip in sirio's webpage. http://www.micromotori.com/
it's on the extras part. :D Is that fine? I think I'll just follow it. What do you guys think? |
I have never tried it but it's from sirio and they should be the ones that know the most and know what their motor can and can't do so it should be ok.
Everyone has different opinions on how to break in motors and all of them probably work so its really up to you to decide what method you want to use or even do your own. Regards, Matt |
