Default Will this header fit?

Can I use the same header from my HPI motor to put on the OS 1.8 CV-RX? I'd rather not buy another. I have gaskets.

The header, flywheel, clutch, clutch bell and everything will fit on your new engine. You might want to use the old collet (the cone shaped brass piece that fits between the flywheel and shaft) just in case the one that comes with the engine is shaped a little differently.

Alright thanks. How do I get that thing off? I can't get that or the flywheel off.

That "thing" is the clutch bell. Put an old towel on a solid table. Set the engine down with the clutch bell pointing up. Get a GOOD #2 phillips screwdriver. Grab the flywheel with one hand and steady the motor. Now use the screwdriver with the other hand. You probably need to really lean into it. Sometimes, I use my chest and lean on the hand holding the screwdriver to get extra pressure on it. Now give the screwdriver a little jerky twist. You'll hear the screw pop loose. If all else fails, grab the head of the screw with a pair of vice grips.

Once the clutch bell is off, remove the clutch shoes and springs. Now you have to remove the shaft extension. Use your glow plug wrench (it fits perfectly) and use the same method as above. Once its off, tap the flywheel from behind with the plastic handle of a screw driver. Turn the flywheel after a couple of taps and keep tapping. The flywheel shoud now come off of the shaft.

Oops, I just realized that some older .15 FE's have a special cast flywheel that won't fit on other engines. I hope yours is newer.

I have the clutch bell and clutch shoes off. I'm talking about the other piece holding the flywheel on that screws onto the shaft or whatever.

Here is where I'm at...

Thats the part you use the glow plug wrench on. Hold on tight to the flywheel and loosten it. Then your flywheel will come off.
